reads: he was quite active, but i didnt get to see any of his hands..

my reasoning was, only straight getting in on the turn is 75 why does he bet again on the river? he wouldnt have bet two pair on the turn, and if he has a set of sixes
doesnt make sense... i want to see.

how bad was the call?

After your check behind on the flop I'd seriously consider betting out with any pair and a flush draw, 2 pair I'd 100% bet.

Saying that, after both flush draws miss I'm calling. We should be calling ~33% of our range, and I don't see us having enough 6+ hands.

A decent amount of his 2 pairs on turn can also be straights.... 654x and as above I'm probably betting turn some of the time with my strong top 2 pairs at least. Turn call I think is bad.. you have blockers to both nut flush draws so villain is more likely to have hit something than be semi-bluffing. I get that you might have called with the intention of turning your hand into a bluff on flush rivers - in which case it might be OK.

There are a bunch of combos that only make the six high straight on the turn. 45, 35, 25 etc.

Nice hand if you have a read that CO will barrel on bad boards for your perceived range.
If the river is the Qh do you still call?
