PLO100 Does he just always have it here??

Hero - Mobile App game. I am about a 5 bb/100 winner over 2500 hands in this game. The rake is high and rakeback is terrible but runs wild enough to make it worthwhile. I play pretty tight overall and the player in this hand knows that I am pretty tight. I am also too sticky which I am working on. $400

Villain - Tight reg. Usually shows up with the goods more often than not. Passive preflop. Almost never 3b without AA or a good situation to iso shortstack. $350

OTTH 8 handed
Folded to Hero on button.
Hero $3.5 with A2 T9
SB folds. Villain in BB calls.

Flop ($7.50)
J82

Villain bets $7.5
Hero calls.

Turn ($22.50) 2
Villain bets $22.50
Hero calls.

River ($67.50) 4
Villain bets $67.50
Hero ????????

What was your plan on turn? I assumed you called instead of raising for pot control and win at showdown?

flop lead and three streets of barreling with full pot sized bets are quite worrisome for sure but don't you want him to keep bluffing with toptwo/overpair + busted flush draw on bricked river?

or is it that you are worried he's way too tight/straightforward to have enough bluff on river with this line, exploiting your tendency?

Your decision point was on the turn as I expect pot flop / pot turn to be followed by pot river most of the time if not all the time at these stakes. I would call, a lot of stuff missed and you’re really close to top of range

Re: PLO100 Does he just always have it here??

Flop call seems ambitious.

I clearly have no history with villain, but on the turn ask yourself if you were a tight reg out of position why would you pot the turn when your "boat" hits and drive away a player who called the flop and now another draw has hit on the turn. Sure villain might be trying to conceal JJ or 88 but it really makes no sense to pot bet and drive you out of the hand. I am a tight passive player and I would never play a set this way. I might play A high FD + pair, or over pair + FD / SD but definitely not a boat. I'm checking the turn or betting half pot to try and entice you to bet or call (if I had a boat). The last thing I want to do is pot and have you fold. I like money, villain probably does too.

I'm raising turn because if he has draws I don't want him to come along cheap and am happy to get it in as I feel like we're rarely behind here.

As played river is a call, doubtful he will call a raise with anything other than a boat or A2xx

Because hero's continuing range is inelastic, and because in the words of poker guru Matt Damon "Against your average guy, I'd set a "bear trap", hardly bet at all, let him walk into it. But paratrooper99's too smart for that. So, what I've got to do is over bet the pot, make it look like I'm trying to buy it."

He also flushed his entire roll on a single game because he sat short stacked with a pro and bluffed him once. Not sure we should take too much advice from a guy like that

Can we get the opinion of Knish?

OMG fold flop, fold fold ,foooooooold!!!! Why would you want to get involved with this player type over three streets with a non-nut hand like...ever? I'm ditching this crap against even a bad reg.

flop peel is fine. we are in position with six nut outs and the spr is 50. we also have some other stuff going on, a pair, a back door flush draw, all of which have appreciable value in a heads up pot.
