I'm playing on PPPoker.
I had $151 in stack. Villain covers me.
I'm on the SB with A8j9
There are 2 limps, the villain is a really bad player with 67% vpip (not sure the pfr since I don't have the black card). He pots to $5.50
I 3bet to $19.50 and he calls.

Flop is 983 and is $42
I check
He bets $21, I pot to $105 and he jams the rest.

What do you guys think? is this a good spot to crai?
I was a little bit worried about the flop because many cards would make me vulnerable

Looks good to me. The board hits his range better than yours, so he'll probably attack it (or bet it with value) wide against your checks. c/pot allows you to play it perfectly and not make mistakes, which you'll be making a ton of if you cbet and get called, which will happen a lot for the same reasons as mentioned (hits his range well)

So yeah ggwp looks standard to me all around

Anything between a check and a bet of between $1 and $42 seems fine here. Hard to mess the first decision up as long as open-folding isn't possible.

Because you have top two pair and a back door flush draw on a draw heavy board, you block some straight draws and you don't want to give your opponent an opportunity to take a free card.

A lot of the deck also allows us to continue barreling (a lot of clubs, 9, 8, and non-heart A, 4, 3, 2)

Giving a free card to a naked flush draw or an open ended straight draw would be a total disaster

We 3-bet preflop, and we don't know for sure our opponent is going to bet. He might just check, which is pretty bad for our hand.
