A friend's hand I thought I'd post:

PLO100 6-max

100BB effective

CO is a rec player, opens the pot
BTN a tighter reg, cold calls
Hero in the sb 3bets with KQJTss

CO & BTN call

Flop: T43 rainbow with one spade (giving hero Top Pair and bdfd).

Hero checks. CO checks, BTN bets half pot. Hero..?

Pretty sure we should be c-betting this with a high frequency for value. We block top set, and there shouldnt be a huge amount of 33's or 44's in villain's ranges.

Yeah, agreed with sauhund. Once we check we should call. The c/r bloats the pot and leaves us OOP with a relatively venerable hand.

To add some details after getting HH:
Hero hand is KcQdJsTs
Hero and CO are 100bbs, BTN is 220.
Flop is Th4s3h. Misreported rainbow to OP, it was two tone with Hero having bdfd.

My thoughts otf were that the presence of overpairs in Villains' ranges and Hero's lack of immediate draws made this a check/decide and probably a check/fold. But I also thought about cbetting and clearly we have a lot of barreling potential with this super coordinated hand and blocking top set.

Once we cbet, and let's say CO calls, we go to turn with SPR ~1, what are we doing on various cards?

Super dry: 8x/9x
Semi-wet: 2x/5x/7x
Paint cards: Jx/Qx/Kx giving Hero top two

A x/r is an all-in.

Both calling and x/r should be fine and close in EV in the originally reported hand.

Would crunch some numbers in the corrected hand and call if BTN's range isn't too nitty.

Is it that simple? On a blank turn let's say 8x when we jam (let's assume vs. CO) are we v-betting or bluffing or what exactly? Our equity against a gii range of 33,44,AA, some combo draw stuff seems pretty bad.

By same token on a Jx/Qx/Kx turn our hand is obviously strong enough to gii but what worse is he calling off when we jam? Is it a consideration to check to him to allow him to bluff something? Or are we just trying to stack his AA ASAP.
