Hi,
I decided to open a new study group for motivated players, who are planing to play PLO at least semi-professional. I just started at the microstakes, so I don't have any requirements on the stakes you are playing. Much more important for me is to find players, who are willing to spend a lot of time studying the game and improving as a player. I recently started
this thread, where you can get an insight, what type of players I'm looking for.
Minimum requirements:
- take part in a group meeting at least once a week
- share good training material, which you think helped you and might help the other players
- willingness to bring in topics to discuss, rather than just taking part in discussion about topics, other brang in
Nice to haves:
- Pokerjuice (I think, it is a great tool to work with and it would be great to use it in group discussions)
- Run it ones essential access, so we can talk about training videos
My dream scenario for a study group would be:
At the beginning of every week a different player from the study group prepares a short introduction about a topic, he would like to discuss, and shares it with the group (either in a video or just a text document). During the week every player of the study groups thinks about the topic by himself and at the end of the week, we share and discuss our results in a group meeting. This way every player has to actively take part in the group and isn't just soaking up information from the others. Although this might sound like a lot of work, I think it will help everybody a lot, because we have many different views on a certain topic.
If you think, this concept sounds good, just leave me a PM. I will try to find the filter out the four most motivated players, because I think, beeing more than five people might hurt the effectiveness of our work. If you want to take part in the group and have other ideas, how to work together, feel free to write this in your massage.
