Current playing at 25PLO and would be interested in finding a study partner and/or study group of people playing the same stakes or higher.

I typically study 2-3 hours (videos, hh review, numbers crunching in ppt) and 6-7 hours grinding every day, could always do more but I would say I'm pretty dedicated to get better at PLO.

EDIT: my bad.

New post: Looking for a zoom PLO buddy to discuss/advance/etc. Full time/high volume is a must. skype lavonbatshiu.nektaras. I'm currently at zPL50 stars, it would be extremely efficient if you were too (or close). Hit me up if interested.

Hey, looking for players or a group to discuss and become better at poker. My goal is to play full time and make a living. I previously played NL HU at small stakes and recently took a 1 year break. I started to play Hearthstone and was 1 of the best players but I have chosen to take a break from it and focus more on a better career option. I am currently starting PLO at the micros but am looking to move up ASAP. I have a good grasp of the game already and I have the bankroll for higher stakes but I want to learn as much as I can and get enough hands in to progress as much as possible. Send me a PM if anybody is interested

Hey, PLO10 player currently taking shots at PLO25.

Got 5 weeks to play poker "fulltime", after that I'll still be trying to get in at least 20 hours of poker a week when school starts up again. Currently trying to establish myself as a PLO25 reg right now. If that doesn't work I'll drop back to 10PLO.

I'm interested in some PLO study buddies or a PLO group to discuss hands and possibly do some sweats.

PM me for skype details

Hi I've never been part of a study group and was wondering how they work?

What topics do people talk about? Do they help improve your game?

In most Skype groups I've been its just been about posting hands and giving comments. Currently in three groups, one is a massive Skype group with mainly microstakes players - but there is too much chatter going on and I'm not really convinced the feedback I'd get for the hands is of great quality as I don't know almost any of the participants.

The second one is a great Skype group, we fairly often review a video a member and have some chatting in the Skype. Just 4 members, which I think is a plus as I know them all. It also helps me more, as the other members play PLO50 full-time. This has definitely helped my game, and its also nice to talk to fellow players. Its in Finnish, so probably of little interest to most posters here.

The third one is a coached group, we meet on Skype twice a week and go through concepts. The small/mid-stakes player who runs it takes a fee, but I think its well worth it. We also get homework relevant to the weeks topic which forces me to improve between sessions. I'd say this is probably improving my game the most, not just the coaching but also having to put the work between sessions and trying to remove mistakes from my game.

Yeah, that's the one. One of the best things is that we get homework related to the topics we discuss, like 3betting so you get a list of which videos to watch or some calculations on how much equity you have in certain spots. I feel its a lot better for me than just randomly watching RIO vids.
