Hi guys, I play a small stakes PLO game that is very splashy. Blinds barely matter.

It is a 10/10 unit game with a 500 buyin where players either call or splash 50-200 immediately to see a flop. Plenty of rebuys all night. I do plenty of limp-reraising, but also play tighter than everyone. Pots are frequently 4-6 ways to the flop.

I'm new to PLO and wondering what the best types of hands to play these multiway pots are, especially for a raise? I usually stick with hands suited to the ace, or limp-reraise essentially any AA and strong double suited hands. Mid-range double suited hands don't seem to play as strong as I run into trouble with flush over flush etc. But I want to maximize equity by pumping money in on early streets with superior holdings.

Postflop on later streets seems a bit easier as I can hand read better than most opponents and stick to more nutted hands/draws, and check-raise when players think they are comfortable betting weak straights/flushes/two pair hands on "safe"-looking boards.

If you're having 4-6 people seeing flops, regardless of the PF raising situation, I would think that putting in your own raises to bloat pots PF would lead to higher variance, since you're rarely isolating players.

I would tend to stick to a more passive approach PF and then profit after the flop, based on your ability to read hands and situations better than other players, as well as your tighter hand selection.

Loosening up your own requirements to try and see more pots in this type of game, would seem to results in higher variance.

Player looser when your opponents are tighter and tighter when your opponents are looser.

Connected hands, nut suits, double suited hands, with a nut or 2nd nut suit would all seem to lead to more profit. You seem to already know which hands play better when 4-6 people are seeing flops. Avoid the urge to see more pots, just because money moves around, and you'll likely profit.

Play a bunch of plo2 FR online if you can and just then emulate what you find wins there lol

Multiway (especially 4+ ways) equities in PLO run absolutely ******ed preflop. But: avoid hands with small pairs (and low cards in general, 2345 is for example a bad hand). Stuff like AQJ8 with a nuts suit will be good. AKxx with two high suits (so AdKs4d5s for example) will be strong

Other than that it really is a ****show equity wise, it really really is. Just avoid the temptation to play K457ss and 557T and hands like that, especially when not on btn
