Here is one way to construct a solid 6max PLO UTG Range.
I have listed 37939 combos for a 15% opening range.
You can add more JJxx, TTxx and some other thrash hands to make it 17%.

Examples of my notation:
KKAQ-2 means KKAQ, KKAJ, KKAT, and so on all the way to KKA2.
KK54sk means suited to king, qs means suited to queen and so on.
5678ss(ss+), with ss or ss+ i mean at least single suited and everything better.

would you rather play something like 5432ds? those hands you mentioned, defo are in the bottom of our range. but what would you like to replace them with?

why do we have to replace them with anything?

well yeah. those few combos doesnt matter. still 15% but would you also remove A76-4 suited aces aswell if you dislike A87-5as? those and few other hands start to add up and lower the opening frequency. i cant really think hands that i would like to open instead, can you think of something more playable for bottom range?

JT98 for example offsuit could be opened but thats only 24combos and might get opener into bad situations with opponents freerolling with fd's. A875as is more like hit or miss and should be easier to play oop.

Cool list. I would certainly not play all of them utg in 6max, especially with deeper stacks, but going through it could be a pretty neat theoretical excercise.

i wouldnt open them all either in deepstack cash game. it sure was an good exercise to write them all down on notepad. and was eye opening to see how many Axxx hands there is on the utg range even if we take out the weaker ones. and now i understand better why we play Axx flops certain way when we are ep opener or defending blinds against these kind of ranges.

Nice list OP did u create this list off a monker chart, PPT, pokerjuice? I’ve gotten a lot out of scrolling through PF charts, a lot of times individual hand classes are performing differently than we would expect

One idea that I like is to think of ranges as living/breathing based on all factors like SPR, opponents, villain stats, etc

i used omaha hand trainer app on phone to check every single individual hands PPT rank and checked the combos with Equilab omaha. and yes im not playing this range like a robot, it wont work. its only a good theoretical exercise and this range would be suitable only for 100bb stacks against other players that played would play somewhat right frequencies. im a tournament player and i always take into consideration what everyones stack is and the opponents tendecies behind. actually playing ranges always comes down to your own judgement and knowledge at practice. but it was very eye opening and good off table work to write down everything i could theoretically open when im sitting on 100bb effective utg. many of these hands probably have so slight positive ev that i would just pass the opportunity to open and not get involved in marginal spots, unless there are easy to play opponents behind.

nice list and all, but UTG I would never open small pairs. Also would cut hands ike KQ46ds.

Overall i think opening 15% utg is too wide, then again i'm a nit and like position so what do i know

some pros say 17% should be opened from 6max utg... if my list has speculative hands.. i would like to know what they have in 16-17% bottom 1% range..

Don't know about "should" be opened, but I don't doubt it "can" be opened profitably.

Having said that, how much are we actually losing ev-wise if we fold A987 or Q T 96?

All I'm saying is I'd much rather look to widen my range IP than OOP.

If you want to squeeze out another few percentage, just carefully include more two gappers. There are tons of hands you can and all you need is another 3k. keeping in line with the above example, stuff like A975 and Q T 85 But that might shoot you more towards 20% which gets more and more suicidal.

But again, I wouldn't. I'd much rather look to widen my button and CO range and think about how to play those hands IP.

Trying to play OOP is painful and marginal.
