Basically my thoughts on this texture was that it’s really hard to make fulls because of the double paired board so i felt my opponent should have a lot of flushes and should be playing them quite aggressively (but would they be in PLO 50 stakes? should i adjust my strategy for this stake?) also i had no spades in my hand and the flush draw was on the flop. Is this thinking correct? and also did i just over play my hand here? Thank you anyone who reads this, It's my first post so I'm sorry if somethings wrong or off love all your feedback thank you guys!

I think you played the hand great until the river, where you got a little greedy. I get that there aren't that many combos that beat you, but from villian's perspective there are a lot more combos of full houses out there if he has like a flush or three nines. So I don't see a worse hand calling that check raise very often. And villain's large bet sizing polarizes him anyway.

thanks for the replies. PokerPlayingGamble i agree i think it's hard to have a hand to call such a big raise. raising sometimes based on specific player tendencies could be a good way to balance this. any thoughts on adjusting to the stake or is it pretty unimportant here? also are you just never raising here or if you do are you going smaller? would love to hear your thoughts cheers.

I think it's sexy as hell and will be called by worse plenty at every stakes

This might be one of the best-played HHs that I've seen posted in SSPLO

Looks fine. Villain should probably raise flop.

What worse hands call a shove here? Surely not A9, 9TJQ+.

Unless you're being facetious and I'm a gobshite for not picking up on it

You're definitely getting A9 and NF to call.
We play SSPLO, everyone's call river bet is on a negative sloping 45 degree angle.

We have a very polarised range and near the top of it. He probably calling with almost any hand he thinks it's good enough to bet for value. A9 isn't betting.
