The board is much better for my range than his - but I don't think these players are folding enough - I should of probably given up on the river and saved the $50

Maybe jam it on a better river that didn't pair the board?

Thoughts?

I figured he had AA as they are playing pretty face up these days.

i like the flop bet. i would bet 66% and only continue on good turns (T,Q,8,Diamond,J) but then full pot.

as played turn, i'd check behind, realizing my equity.

as played river i'd check behind. what are you trying to convince him off? that you had top and bottom or that you had a set all along?

it's a cool story bro, but it's too unlikely for him to fold.

^ i mean he's convincing him that he has 2 pair now a boat, a set or a straight. All of those hands play this way so his line is fine to make AA fold but I just wouldn't use this hand to do it with.

Shut down on river. I suspect its a "villain knows that you know that he has aces" spot. You also have enough showdown value to check this one down.
