both players involved have non-fishy stats

Yatahay Network - $0.10 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 33.9 BB
Hero (BTN): 245.6 BB
SB: 75 BB
BB: 102.9 BB
UTG: 222.8 BB
MP: 397.8 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A 5 J 3

UTG calls 1 BB, MP raises to 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB, Hero calls 3 BB, fold, fold, UTG calls 2 BB

Flop: (13.5 BB, 4 players) K 2 4
UTG checks, MP checks, CO checks, Hero bets 5.4 BB, fold, MP calls 5.4 BB, fold

Turn: (24.3 BB, 2 players) 4
MP checks, Hero bets 8 BB, MP calls 8 BB

River: (40.3 BB, 2 players) 9
MP checks, Hero bets 12.2 BB, MP calls 12.2 BB,

The upswing range matrix tells me this is a fold squeezing vs UTG, and I figure that's the same vs HJ like here. But when flopping such a high-equity hand like this I would assume betting flop and turn are always appropriate, but I'm clueless for sizing. (Would folding to a re-pop OTT be good when we're dead vs boats?) River advice needed too of course, thanx y'all

Looks fine except fold pre.

Fold pre.

I'd go bigger on turn if I do bet, but, prefer checking.

River no bet.

Inky, why would you no bet river? Doesn't the action suggest strong chance that villain is also on flush draw?

To merely guess at Inky's reasoning:

We unblock all FH-or-better-related cards, which means that sometimes we are value-cutting or getting bluff-raised by something like K9/K2 (which is rough for us). (Or sometimes getting raised by an honest-to-goodness full house or better, of course.)

I think that whether we bet river or not depends on how balanced villain will be with their raises (as well as their lines to this point; some players can't slowplay full houses regardless of how good their full houses are or are not). As I've been mentioning in other threads, most players are miserably unbalanced on the river, so I'm personally going for a value bet/fold against a lot of players.

I think I've really underestimated the blocking/unblocking dynamics in Omaha. It seems like even having one blocker can change a decision.

It's absolutely true. In a game of incomplete information, you need to leverage all of the information you can get.

And I love how much more information we have in PLO versus NLH.

Whenever I try to play deep-stacked NLH I feel like I'm flying without instruments by comparison; it's honestly pretty anxious for me.

You should have potted flop then checked turn. Bet on turn was terrible so I stopped reading. Study study study

Fold pre
Bet 3/4 pot on flop
if that gets called then turn is iffy spot since I'd guess MP has AKxx+ a huge amount of the time and blasting him off of that may require some hefty clicking down the line. Prob just check back and realize equity. Other semi-bluffs that don't block the draws this much would be better turn bet hands i'd think

Yeah, my main reasoning is that our range for betting 4 way should be really tight and 3 barrelling is very strong even for small sizings. Our opponent is going to have enough boats against such a strong line.

If you think people just peel light on turns with pair and fd and calls too much, which is reasonable, and also that they'd fast play most of their boat combos earlier on, which is also reasonable, and finally that they don't bluff river enough, then, yeah I guess betting is okay.
