I play a few NLHE tournies a week at bars with friends but since I mainly play PLO cash online I find myself always worried someone has a better hand than me. So I find myself check calling with trips instead of raising for value, etc. The other day I check called with KJ trip jacks, the flop was checked, so unless he slowplayed a set on the flop only AJ beat me. He had QJ and was the preflop raiser.

Do any of you suffer this while switching to NLHE as well? Any advice?

Scared of playing NLHE? Just don't play NLHE

Spoiler:
Maybe do some studying and run a few sims of NLHE to gain confidence back

I used to play a PLO game in my home town with friends which we'd occassional throw NLHE in and I distinctly remember people playing much closer to the vest (tighter, weaker, more passive etc.) during the NLHE hands after playing dozens of PLO hands.

Either way I think it's normal to subconsciously change the way you approach NL after playing PLO, just takes some discipline and study to keep each game separate.

I think the biggest change is to realize that you don't have to have the nuts to be betting and calling. Depending on the limit you play of PLO and the site you play on, there may be a tendency to only play nut draws, because people in your game might only bet nut hands.

Its just going to take a few more games to get comfortable again. Even a few sessions of micro stakes where losing a couple bucks / buyins doesn't matter, might help you get your confidence.
