I'm curious as to what you believe is a good ratio of call to folded hands at a 6 man table, not counting BB or even SB. I know I call way too often. That is actually part of my strategy as I have seen stuff I have folded hit full house at the flop and people are just calling to the river with their entire stack. My experience has been the times I have hit pull in a lot of chips versus just folding most hands. I know with Hold'em this makes no sense, however, with Omaha there are just so many possible combinations that I believe calling most pre-flop at low levels is worthwhile. I've been successful doing it. Thoughts?
you basically shouldn't ever be cold calling except for a couple very minor circumstances. It's very rare, and it's basically burning money in most spots. If they are wide 3-bet. If you want to know the exactly what you should be doing just pay the 40 bucks and buy plo matrix.
Above is not true, in GTO solutions 5max for example. BTN calls more than 3betting vs both CO and MP. CO vs MP the call vs 3bet range is almost the same in %.
Alot depends on what the rake is, with lower rake you can call more. With higher rake you cant call as much because postflop is raked while if you win pots preflop by 3betting you are not getting raked.
