Also, you shouldn't be so down on yourself. Both of your hands are pretty standard HU hands on both parts. You were definitely the favorite in both, sure, but losing these hands is standard PLO variance. If you can't handle it, then maybe you should step away for a bit.

Variance in HU omaha is sickkkkk so I would say it's like 51% skill/49% luck on any given day. It's def possible to just crush these games when you are running hot and playing decently, as well as possible to get crushed even when playing well should you run poorly.

I am not that big of a fan of Omaha HU, it's just too much variance and luck, more so than usual.

more skill than any other HU game long term.

alot of variance so you need a big sample to get a true winrate.

Thanks everyone for the great responses that yal have given me. I think I will be stepping away from the online poker scene just b/c i feel like my life is taking me elsewhere like becoming an actuary so please wish me luck on that. But anyways I will still love to talk strategy with you guys b/c i consider myself a pretty good PLO player but obviously not the best yet . I just don't have the time to play tournaments anymore thats why I kind of switched to cash games plus some of those players in the cash games just play so awful my question to myself is why not?!?! I've posted more than a couple of tournie wins in my last semester of college and I'm going to just talk how and why I won those tournaments and just my thought on strategy. Right now I feel like there is just so many limpers in tourney poker that it can be exploited its just so sick and funny that in a long run I feel like being a tournie omaha player would be really easy....but thats just me just trying to get my confidence level up......

Great advice ...I will probably step away from the game a little, but would still like to talk strategy...I will post new discussions as the weeks go on just cause I finally figured out or gave it a shot to do the discussion on twoplus two

What I have noticed though guys is that if you waite till night or so to play...thats where you get the guys who are on tilt and just be super aggro and thats where you can make the most money...which I have noticed

There's beats in every form of poker, if u rly can't handle that then just quit. longterm the best player always wins, that's the way it is. But yes hu plo is a game of sick sick variance, 30BI swings happen a lot more than u might think.

Presumably 'yes' is the correct answer as it must be one or the other. It can't really 'depend', and the last option isn't a direct answer.

So Yes FTW.

u really need a lot of discipline and a big br for hu plo, another thing that is crucial is stacking your opponent from the get-go, if he is very prone to tilt, you'll start makin money with a lower risk, another important thing in hds up plo is. to quit once ur down 3-4 buyins, unless its. a massive fish that u know will stay and play with u if ya dbl upp, else its better to walk away and restart another session
