Now I get it, the river is a 7. I think it's a fold, JT is the most like combo to call OTF. He's also unlikely to turn the rest of his range into a bluff.

That said, this is PLO2 and ur getting a good price... Call and move on, whatevs

Just started playing 50plo. And have a few questions

1) 50plo hu ? Is it worth while, a rake trap or foolish to play with 50BI.

2) what HEM stats would you include in your HUD as IMO the HEM2 Omaha HUD is too large.

3) I'm a relative novice at PLO probably having played under 20k hands of it lifetime, am I an idiot to be starting at 50?

4) lastly I'm English so have basicLly unlimited options, is stars the wrong site to be playing on?

Thanks in advance guys and I look forward to getting to know some of you

There are circumstances under which I would not shove, but not that many. In limped pots ur prob not in great shape, set really likely and all

What is a good vpip and 3b to have HU from the BB vs a 100% SB opener, is 30 too low?

Some advice to a former skype user!

1) It's definitely playable, but i hate it. 50BI is fine if your competent.

2) Use PT3 myself, but stats like VPIP, PFR, 3bet %, Fold to cbet, donk are my main stats with going into all the stats in the larger window. I think HUD on its own has limitations ; the best thing to do is analyse opponents statistics comprehensively and then put it in their note box of the HUD. Of course like a lazy chump, i have yet to do so.

3) Only 20k hands? Difficult to know without watching you play. You could be more competent than a seasoned whore house worker, or as naive as Ant & Dec

4) I am also English, and i play at ongame. Very fishy site, best playing times between 2PM GTM and Midnight. Good rakeback too. Stars is also a good viable option.

I'd PM mrw8419 or TGSM89, they play a lot of HU and have a decent understanding of the math involved. I play 6max more or less exclusively.

You can also ask them to write answers ITT

I'd add 3bet and donkbet, at least

F23B I rarely use, obv good for restealing and such, but at micros u should always expect and want a call. If u don't want the call, u prob shouldn't 3bet. This is a big difference to NLHE where pre-flop non-SD is more important.

Hard to give exact %s, because it depends how deep you are and on the opponent you play. I generally am pretty tight out the BB, and I play few single raised pots OOP vs tough opponents...

Quick example from today. My play OK? or did i just get lucky with a dumb shove? I didn't wanna call, and thought its either fold or get it in.

Unless UTG is a nit, I'd 3bet pre

UTG's line looks like a str8 or a set, so getting it in is slightly -EV I expect. I'll give u some homework, go to propokertools and simulate the hand giving villain str8 or set, then post it here. Compare ur equity to pot odds and u have an answer

Homework done sir, hope it comes out OK never used that site before;

Did vs set and straight and perhaps my best case scenario over pair +draw. Even in that case i was not a massive favorite.

So folding to the CR would correct but being 2c/5c this feels so bad as there is so much goofy stuff going on.

My answer is I sucked out.

Is there a place I could learn some hand ranges that are good to open from all kinds of positions? I feel like every time I'm uncertain of a hand I ask here, you guys are probably annoyed by me already ;pThere has got to be a better way I read hwangs plo book, since people say he is a preflop nit and I play 6max not FR I should probably open a lot more than advised in the book.

A quick hand, AQJ4, if the 4 is suited to the Ace it's probably a call/3bet in BB when CO opens and BTN,SB fold. What if the 4 is suited to the J or Q?

Plays much better with a suited A, obv, but not a huge difference HU. Multiways I'd only call with the suited A. At microstakes I prob just flat and keep the pot small OOP playing hit-to-win, if ds I like a 3bet.

U can obv learn charts and such for opening ranges, but it's much more useful to think about the qualities u want in relation to ur position and the likely number of opponents OTF. Nuttiness, floppability and high card strength are all important in different ratios, there's also deception, but that's more or less irrelevant at microstakes

Okay, great. A few more hands where I was a bit lost...

Hand1:

Merge - $0.04 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: $9.56
BB: $1.59
Hero (BTN): $4.98

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero has 8 7 J A

Hero raises to $0.14, SB calls $0.12, fold

Flop: ($0.32, 2 players) J 4 6
SB checks, Hero bets $0.24, SB calls $0.24

Turn: ($0.80, 2 players) A
SB checks, Hero bets $0.68, SB raises to $2.84, Hero raises to $4.60 and is all-in, SB calls $1.76

River: ($10.00, 2 players) K

Villain is unknown due to HUD not working properly on merge (f u PT3), Pretty sure he is typical loose/passive micro stakes PLO fish. Not really sure what to do? just flat the raise and fold any non A/J/spade? Or jam? Maybe fold?

Hand2:
UTG is 70/50/10, will occasionally 4bet if he has a big hand. plays loose aggressive, decent post flop.
MP is 90/40/70, is 3betting nearly every hand. 0% fold to 3b/4b. Super donky. Terrible post-flop.
Hero is running 23/9/6 due to table dynamics. I 4b QTJ8ds when the 3 of us were super deep about 3 orbits ago.

Merge - $0.04 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $2.63
SB: $1.95
Hero (BB): $16.45
UTG: $8.29
CO: $13.54

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero has A A 3 6

UTG raises to $0.12, CO raises to $0.42, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.38, UTG calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.28, 3 players) 9 8 4
Hero bets $0.96, fold, fold

Should I 4b pre or hope that UTG 4bets, then 5bet/auto-jam flop?
edit: Against these crazy maniacs, this is def a 4b and go broke on any flop. Whoops.

Total PLO newbie. $1/2 game. Active guy in like UTG+2 raises to $15. I 3-bet to $50 with 165 stack with AKKQ. Button cold-calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop 6910. Pot is ~$150 and I have 115 left. Checked to me, is this an auto-shove?

I'd say it is, you only need like 30% vs a calling range and occasionally even pick it up right there. Str8 or set would obv be suboptimal, but ur doing well vs everything else
