HU villan plays 80% of hands on the BB with a 40% 3bet: with 6653ss are you limping,minraise/calling,minraise/folding or what?

n00b question...Whens a good time to open limp in PLO6?

Coming from MTTs where I almost never limped this is particulary perplexing to me, but Ive noticed some good regs doing it.

So ive deduced they are open limping med strength hands that they dont want to r/c but do want to l/c to play pots vs the fish (me)

Either that .....or there are certain hands (like 910KQcc?) that are better to open limp than potting. Im currently potting all hands if Im 1st in the pot except really strong hands like double suited Aces which Im 2.5x-3xing

any direction appreciated

Limp with hands that plays well multiway, hands that flop the nuts like big pocket pairs with not so much else or A suited hands with not so much else like KK74 suited to the king, A742 suited to the ace. You could also limping behind rainbow rundowns like JT87r. You always want to raise premium hands like KQT9 single suited.

LearnedfromTV has done a lot for my game. He makes vids for dragthebar, and leakbuster, and also has some vid series up on cardrunners I think.

i just started plo hu and have a couple of noobish questions...
so what bb/100 are achievable or good at micro-low stakes? im hoping to build up my hu roll from plo10-20, so that would give me confidence later on combined with cheap learning value. does the rake beatable at these stakes? currently i do beat it but paying about 25-30bb/100 in rake is rather worrying. the player pool at this low is insanely soft tho.

which sites has the lowest rake or best deal for hu?

do you guys think theres big difference in skill or rather fish/reg ratio between sites even at these low stakes?

more importantly what euro site have the most action at night? im currently playing on entraction and sometimes just waiting half a hour for an opponent at non-peak times.

thanks!

I need some help.

I hate my game on rivers, absolutely hate it. I'm leaving a lot of money on the table. My agg% on Flop and turn is 30%+...the river is only 25.8...I'm checking back a lot of rivers. My AF by street is very similar, 3.4 Flop,3.2 Turn, 3.0 River so I'm not calling a ton but there are some scenarios on the river where I'm not thin value betting.

Is there a stat in HEM that I can look at to find situations where I could bet on the river. I want to start reviewing these hands.

ugh, flopped the nut straight. turn paired board. I shouldve checked turn rather than raise and call AI. Paired boards are scary.

one thing im noticing.

in 6-max I am getting a lot of dangler hands such as

A-K-J-x
8-9-J-x
9-T-J-x
A-Q-T-x

hands like these are playable in any pos for a call or folded?

What is the bottom range of hands people open UTG in 6max games? Is smth like 8c7c4d2s a fold, an you give an example of smth you think is the worst hand you would open UTG?

8742 def a fold UTG. Your UTG range shouldn't be over 15%, so that's aces, kings, good queens, good AKxx hands, good medium and high rundowns.

Pleasure, those hands are usually perfectly fine to play.

What about some suited ace with two broadways? Like As3sKcJs

So with good AKxx you mean like AXsuited+two cards 9+ ? And some AKXXds?

I'm really just now starting to learn PLO so even starting hands are giving me trouble ;P

Yeah, something like that. The worse the hand in that category, the more marginal it is to open, but never too wrong (unless some weird table dynamics).

I was wondering. If I have like As2sKcQd this is like a good suited ace with broadways. How is the hand viewed when it is As2sKcQs ? Now the 2s is a complete dangler, but if the queen was smth offsuit it wouldn't really help in any way. Only I can't flop FD with the queen paired for me now - is that big enough of a concern to significantly devaluate this hand?

Having the extra dead suited card is a bigger demerit to your hand than whether the queen or the deuce is suited to the ace. Did you mean to compare A 2 K Q with A 2 K Q?

no reads on villain, 3rd hand he played at this table.

PartyGaming - $0.25 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

UTG: $24.15
MP: $29.74
Hero (CO): $25.00
BTN: $22.64
SB: $58.20
BB: $26.77

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has J 6 8 T

fold, MP calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.10, BTN calls $1.10, fold, fold, MP calls $0.85

Flop: ($3.65, 3 players) Q K A
MP checks, Hero bets $2.00, BTN calls $2.00, fold

Turn: ($7.65, 2 players) 4
Hero bets $6.50, BTN calls $6.50

River: ($20.65, 2 players) 8
[color=red]Hero ?

what's the correct play vs a seemingly passive and cally player in a vacuum here?
i just shipped cuz
1) spr is low and villain might call with any flush
2) it might look bluffy to him as the nuts changed, thus making him hero call with sets/ 2pr

on the other hand i don't think a passsive player would bluff his missed fd's here, so checking with the intend to fold to any bet might be better actually.
