I remember a while back seeing something about a set with the NFD being the best hand to get stacks in on the flop

I play in very fishy micro games, is it worth limping behind with most suited ace+pair hands? What about calling raises on the BTN?

So i have started playing plo. Currently grinding PL4 on the MPN network and these are my results so far.

Are there any glaring leaks based on this small sample? Maybe calling a little too much? i notice my aggression by street gets higher from flop to river, whereas most of my opponents aggression is higher on the flop than it is the river. What would be the norm? And what information would villains take from this?

Thanks!

Total Omaha newbie here:

C:\Users\Stephen1\Downloads\KK with QJ_ how far behind am i if opp hits an Ace on the flop.png

Re Above situation me w KKQJ and opponent has hit an Ace on flop

I believe I have 8 outs for absolute nuts straight. From my Holdem knowledge I would say the percentage I have for winning given all in on flop is 32% requiring pot odds of 2.2 to 1.

There is also a chance of runner runner 9 and 8 for straight to King - but that would be insignificant?

Where does the extra value calculated by
https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-too..****ulator/omaha
in the above picture come from?

Thanks for any help.

Mostly play nlhe, thinking of jumping into the 2/2 PLO that runs at a local cardroom. I have played some live PLO in the past and I felt like buying in for 100bb was short compared to everyone else, but I don't know if I'm really trying to buy in for 250 bigs in a game that I know I don't have an edge in. I've been searching around for some threads on live PLO buy in amounts but haven't come up with much. Thoughts?

I would buy in short, even shorter than 100bb. There's going to be a lot of value getting it all in preflop and on the flop. After you are more comfortable, buy in deeper to cover and target other deep stacks.

How wide should you defend the BB against an SB open in zoom PLO with no reads/hud stats? I chose to defend with Qc9c6d2d just now, and while the hand went well (flopped trips and turned a boat against a wrap draw, so gg), I'm not sure about the decision to call pre - was that a reasonable hand to defend with?

I'm currently playing online micro stakes.
Just started a little while ago.
Running into tons of situations where I don't have a clue what the right play is.
So a few questions. These are all heads up situations I'm referring to.

When I have a none nut straight on the river, should I be betting for value when out of position? (In nlh, a bet fold would be my usual play, barring any strong reads)

Should we bet the nut straight on the river, out of position, when a flush is on board?

Should we bet our flushes on the river when the board is paired?

Sorry if these are rudimentary questions.

I would've even appreciated a "Answers to questions are so obvious even a donkey knows them! ", instead of being totally ignored.
I feel like Chuck Noland here.
But I get it. No one wants to give away the secret family recipe like what's happened with Holdem, and you know what, I actually agree. I guess.
Don't know what this thread is about then?
Donkey in the dark

It's the opposite. There is no correct answer to those spots. It all depends on your opponent.
Every answer is vs some people yes, vs others no.

you have to start PT and click "get hands while playing" first before you open stars and start a zoom table

Especially with PLO2 rake I'd be surprised if this is a +EV VPIP. If folding is a mistake, it's not one to lose sleep over.

Don't 3bet the flop here. There's a high risk of getting yourself freerolled.

Hello, I'm a long-time NLHE player just learning PLO. Here is my question:

When I play $2/$5 NLHE, they won’t let you use the $1 chips in betting (except to pay the small blind). So how does $2/$5 PLO work pre-flop? For example, if I’m first to raise, can I make a pot sized raise to exactly $17? Or do I have to put in $15, or $20 (which would be more than a pot sized raise)?

Just ask the dealer; there's no shame in it. Different cardrooms round/count the blinds differently, in my experience.

I plan on playing some online plo. i am a nlh player with no plo experience.between now and when i deposit i will study as much strat as i can. Someone correct me if im wrong but wsop.com is doing a 600$ deposit bonus that takes 60 days to clear. What stake level would you suggest would be best for me to easily clear the deposit bonus/is not a rake trap/and is within good bankroll management to play.

busted out in 3rd place of 1000 euro plo tourny . Think I played the hand poorly.

Big blinds are 30,000. Button 3x opens

I have over 900,000 chips

I call in sb.

Pots about 230,000

I pot flop and get raised allin.

At the time I called , I didnt pause enough and must have assumed i was suited to the K .

Thoughts , better way to play hand?

Foooooooooooold. What is he doing this with that you beat? QQ? You have the 6h so im having a hard time putting him on a draw strong enough to bluff here. Your pretty much just hoping v has the nut flush draw and even then v has pretty good equity.
How much did 3rd pay?
