Everyone has a freedom to choose their own stack size in the limits of table bin options. No one has anything to say about that, period. If you feel like it, then by all means. People play differently, most of the time very badly, vs. short stacks so it can be profitable.
An another perspective is that you should learn full stack game also (you triple up on your ss table etc). How about dropping limits a bit? You can play plo2/4 or whatever micro stakes your site offers. Then you don't need fear that much about losing your stack and you also don't need to pay that much for you full stacking "education".
Mmm... I think I should be entitled to prescribe the buy-ins of my opponents
Seriously, of course you are right, but I was posting because I sometimes don't know how to deal appropriately with short stackers (probably I am one of those people that you mention...), particularly when there are many of them and it becomes a pre-flop all-in game. I intend to learn playing full-stacked and the 0.10/0.25 micro level is quite all right for me, way below 2/4.
Aside, I feel that playing full-ring really helps when learning. Sure, it is a bit slower but that gives me time to think, watch and avoid marginal spots.
