Like what I know till now we bet smaller if we have a high betting frequency. Like if we have a high cbet frequency on certain board.

but I have also heard instructors saying in vids that on certain boards they have range advantage they bet big to push equity or as in NL overbetting as opponents range is capped.

Whats the basic theory? or where can I learn from ?
Yes on certain boards where we have range advantage it`s natural to have higher cbet percentage. That doesn`t mean you should bet large.Size of the cbet should correspond with flop texture. If the board is 22Kr there are no merits almost ever to pot this. However if the board is q96cc large size with your best made hands and best draws make sense.Phil Galfond talks often about this topic in his videos,so i suggest that.Just to add this would be valid for turn bets also.Wouldn`t bet same size on 22q7r and 78ccjkss.

So trying get some experience in PLO. I have Jeff Huang's book that I've barely read, and I was considering signing up for Global poker online to get some low stakes experince. SOund like a good plan? Should I ocus on just PLO High at first?

Also, where is PLO mainly played live? I thought it was a little more common, but when I check Bravo, even big rooms may have no PLO games.

Anyone know what a reasonable hourly is for live $1/2 PLO with $5 bring-in? Buy-in is $100-500. Plays a bit bigger than $2/5 NLH in my limited experience.

Hello all,
I’m looking for feedback on this 2 PLO hands I recently played.
I’ve been on the table for about 30-45 minutes when the 2 hands, unfolded. 2-2 PLO

Hand #1, Villain whose been straddling and raising since I got to the table makes it 10 on the button ($1800 stack), SB calls ($450) and I call ($550) on the BB with Jh9h8c4c.

Flop 7h2cQc, checks to V who bets 30, SB folds and I call. Turn 8h, I check & V bets 125, we call. River is 10h and V bets pot and we obviously call. V shows Ah2h2x4x. Was our PF and flop call ok, standard or this is a fold PF?

Hand #2, couple orbits later same Villain ($1200+) makes it 10, SB(200+) calls and we call on the BB with KdJd7s5s. Flop comes As8c6c, checks to V who bets 30, SB & I call. Turn 9X, SB leads for $95, I & V calls. River is Ax and SB moves All in for about $30, I make the crying call expecting to lose to full house or bigger straight. V calls as well, SB shows JJxx for two pairs, I showed my straight, V had Axxx and we scoop. Should this be a fold on the river for that bet?

Hi. I was thinking to start a thread about beating the micro stakes.
For the last 4 months i,ve been studying the game of PLO2.
I bought 1 million hands. Plus for the last month i bought everyday hands for PLO2 PLO5 PLO10.
I was wondering if anybody wanna know how much people actually win and loose in a day, week month.
I am even thinking of writing a book.
Will anybody read it ?

Hi. I was playing PLO HU.

The villain call on the flop almost every flop and if i check back the flop he lead pot or 3.4 pot turn like 85% frequency.

My question...what type of hands and what type of flops should i check back the flop with plan to call turn/river?

In nlhe for example vs villain such as this i would xb on qtx rbow flop woth hands like qx and tx and call down almost all runouts.

Thanks.

Also one more question...sorry

But cbet flop with trash low equity hands is generally a spew? I mean there is obviously exceptions vs ppl that fold too much to a flop cbet...but generally speaking it is better to xb flop right?

Like is k972 on AQ3 board comparable to having 54o on 9TJ board in nlhe?

no. vs general population you definitely have a range advantage on this texture vs on 9TJ. 9TJ is also much more dynamic.

I've recently started playing in a PLO cash game with a group of guys that I've played NLHE with for years. The game itself seems very loose to me. 9 handed most hands will have 5+ players see the flop. The prevailing pf strategy is to limp. There are a few players that will raise more often (myself included,) but 3 bets are extremely rare and 4+ bets are unheard of pf.

My strategy thus far has been to be very selective about my starting hands (most of the players are too loose in my opinion) and, since I'm playing fewer hands (theoretically better/stronger hands,) raise pf to start building a pot. Then when I hit hard, I'll have a better chance of getting it all in by the river. Is that a sound strategy? or am I just setting myself up for larger variance since there is basically zero fold equity pf? Should I just limp along with the rest of them to see a cheep flop?

It's a $.50/$1.00 game, with the average stack at around 200+ BB.

Is there a good, ideally free or cheap tool to let us examine a range of flops and compute equities over that range?

For example, today I got $200 in pre with $600 behind with mediocreish aces against a huge maniac with a third player all-in for $150; In other words, SPR 1.1. They say the golden rule is to get a third of your stack in, and this was only one-fourth, but I'm pretty sure it's fine to just go ahead and stack off on any flop there and let him "play perfectly against aces," especially since I don't expect him to really play perfectly, but I'd like to see how often his hand flops different amounts of equity -- both his actual hand and his extremely wide range.

The best combos of JJ are playable UTG in my opinion, like JJTT double suited or JJKQ double suited.
