More of a technical question:

Does anyone use the Stars AHKs or any other (legal) 3rd party AHKs for cash games? And if so, which 3rd party AHKs would you recommend?
Went throught the software froum on here, but can't decide whether or not i should implement them. Not really a tech freak, but got the FPDB from the software forum to work fine, so i think i'm capable of setting it up.

Hello all

I have just started reading this thread and just want to say Hi.
Started playing PLO properly 2 weeks ago, have played about 5.5k hands in 2 weeks on Stars .10/.25 6Max.

Reading Jeff Hwangs books - already read Big Play Strategy, now on Advance Tech 1

thx for answering. However, I'm using a pretty old machine, prob. 8+years old and system requirements for proper use of Ninja don't compute with that.
Anyone else have an idea?

I don't use a hud, but i do take notes. I use 3 colors, green for bad players, yellow for undecided, red for solid players.

The vast majority of colors assigned is green

Firstly I enter the game, since I play a lot of different games, then I usually either add a summary of the hand played, or a general remark, such as cs (calling station), overvalueing or braindead. (I actually use the latter one quite often )

Ty guys
fascinating...you play nl10 for living? or 25?

the eurosites softwares are not really multitable friendly, i'd most likely stay on stars if i were you.

Is this strictly an OL forum?
I'm currently studying to transition to 1-2 PLO live from NLHD, since 1-2 PLO 200-500 is the game at my casino where people drink the most. Got some good book ideas from this thread so thanks either way.

Right on. OL=online
JFCITEKT=Jesus ****ing Christ I Thought Everyone Knew That.
So this is the correct forum for live 1-2PLO hands?
As a NL player I'm well aware of the changes necessary when adapting to live from OL. Is the gap between PLO live and on the InterTubes similar?

Want to dabble at PLO once my staking deal expires for NLHE. What is the best way to get started? Get a coach? I've read one PLO book but I've played less than 1K hands of it.

At what point is it beatable? Micro NLHE can be beaten at any level but ppl tell me due to rake at PLO you may have to play higher to be able to beat it. What about live PLO with higher rake like 1/2 or 2/5 PLO?

Start as high as u can afford to spew a few dozen BIs at

Getting a coach to teach u the basics is a good idea, but don't spend too much money on that. There's plenty of decent video series for beginners at different training sites, search this thread and the Guide-sticky for options.

i play 2-3 million hands of NL50 CAP last year (rakebackpro), now with the rake changes isnt profitable anymore so i am trying to grind PLO25 and maybe in a couple of months PLO50 i play-study 6-9 hours per day and im from mexico so i dont need a lot of money to pay the bills and live (with 2k monthly is enought for food bills, party and stuff here) and have some at bank PLO micro seems soft (NL holdem micros (25-50) isnt soft anymore with 20 people at waitlist to eat a single fish). so see u here guys

hey guys,

i switched from stars to ipoker, because of a rb deal and evreybody said the rake is not beatable at stars ...

but now i hear that ipoker switched to contributed rake - what does it mean?

i´m playing PLO10 and some PLO20, rb 60% - VPIP 28 ...

how much bb/100 do i need to beat the rake?

thx for help!

The rake at Ipoker PLO20 (And similar on PLO10) is ~22bb/100 playing a standard TAG style. Means you need an edge of 22.1bb/100 to get a positive winrate. But with rakeback that's obviously lower

I know that sort of edge seems high, but it's definitely possible since there are sooo many massive fish with near 100% VPIP. I'm playing the same limits on Ipoker, mind PMing me your SN?

Hi guys!

I'm trying to switch from holdem to omaha, playing few days, bought hm2 with omaha upgrade today.

Unfortunatelly, i had not ever use any omaha hud/popup. Maybe some of you guys gonna share with me yours hud/popup? I really hate this one made by myself, i mean colour/size etc is not really pretty and practicall as well heh. Or maybe someone gonna tell me where i could find any layout of hud/popup to omaha (hm2).

Thx in advance, greetings

What sort of tables do you stay on for example if i have 2 fish on my left who are calling every hand and never folding to cbets we want to be leaving these tables right?
Also if im on a table which is very passive where theres lots of limping and just calling making it 4 way pots do you stay on these? They seem unprofitable to me unless you hit the flop hard i have to check give up alot. Do you just limp in also unless you have a hand of big strength which flops multiway on these types of tables?

Not sure if serious...Why would you leave easy money table? Tighten up your range,n don't bluff too often.
