SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K A 9 K

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 3.5 BB, fold, Hero raises to 11 BB, BTN raises to 33.5 BB, Hero calls 22.5 BB

Flop: (67.5 BB, 2 players) Q 8 T
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: (67.5 BB, 2 players) 9
Hero checks, BTN checks

pretty standard spot pre, little bit deeper than 100bbs, wondering how to proceed.

Villain is loose pre, opening 29/40 from BTN so far, but 4b 0/13 opportunities, and my reads suggest he's not too aggressive in general.
I think his 4b range is pretty AA heavy in that spot, but I'm not sure.

fold to 4b? flat 4b?

most people don't 4bet nearly wide enough to make flatting better than folding here, even though we're 117bb deep.

pokerjuice has a sim where you can play around with ranges and stuff to get a general idea how to play vs 4bets at various stack sizes.

bet 1/4 to 1/3 pot on turn, shovel any river if called.

Ok, thanks for the comment, bc I'm not too sure on some preflop stuff. Are you flatting if the 9h is the Th/Jh/Qh?

Postflop I thought his range was so heavy on AA+random side cards that our only chance to make any money was to see if he turns it into a bluff.
We also block KJ heavily which would probably be his primary bluffcatcher.

your hand contains both an A and a pair which is pretty bad facing a 4bet from a AAxx heavy range, so no, changing the 9h to a broadway is not gonna change the fact that folding > calling.

only the best hands from either category do better by calling than folding 117bb deep; TT98ds is an example for a paired hand, AQJTds for an Axxx hand.

a678ds performs better against aa than aqjtds or other ace broadway rundowns.

Anyway i would never flat akk9ss here.Folding is ok i think,and for 5bet would

probably need to have bigger sample on his 4bet%.

yes you are correct about a678ds vs AQJTds, my bad. both are a call vs a 4bet from AA heavy range 117bb deep though.
