He has so many missed draws here I think betting>checking imo

hard for villain not to have a hand he can at least hero call with. i think river check is fine.

turn bet is super standard.

i tend to think that when a rec villain min bets on the flop and you attack that with a raise, competent players will call shenanigans and call down 'lighter'.

Only just started picking up the game again but hasn't villain kinda capped his range on the turn by only half potting it? Bet size seems really bad on turn cause there's so much to protect against and so many draws and made hands (that might fold bad rivers) to get value from.

This looks exactly like the type of hand he has, unless he somehow balances this bet with his super nuts (sets/top2+FD/straight draws)

yeah this makes a lot of sense. It was an awkward SPR situation where if I pot the turn I leave a tiny amount behind for river. But that doesn't necessarily make a bigger sizing bad.

meh idk about that, some ppl might bet big with their draws here and smaller with their value, I see what you're saying but I think player tendencies do vary on that

Sorry my post wasn't really clear, it probably still isn't, lol.

There's so much to protect against on the turn when we have a made hand - set/two pair, that betting less than pot doesn't make much sense at this SPR.

I wrote "looks exactly like the type of hand you have" because you would want to bet for max protection/max value on the turn with made hands on this board texture, and this bet size turns your hand face up.

So I don't know how we can have a balanced half pot turn betting range in this spot if we're betting big for protection with our made hands and half pot with our draws - we would be extremely exploitable, so I would just be potting my whole stack off range here and pretty much give anything else up, but I don't even think we get to the turn with anything to give up.

Hope that's more clear as to what I meant.
