so anyway its obv villain has aces heavy range ( I do have prior history in big 3 bet pots however so may be trying to take advantage), we are deep enough that he can 4 bet rundown type hands aswell but obv we block and it gets dicey for him if we come over the top...
so anyway my thoughts at the time were if he has AAkx we fked and that's a real possibility, and also if he did 4 bet a rundown containing 89 hes found out we don't have the nuts now probs with his flop bet/probe, my call was basically to try and hit a boat or straight but I'm just pressing buttons I need help lol what should I have done

Was confused about pf because you don't label villains as 1 and 2... assume original raiser was MP villain and then the cold 4b from villain 1.

Anyway, you don't give any reads but my assumption is that usually someone who has a massive stack is on the aggressive side and likes to make some moves. I also think at low stakes aggressive players tend to over-play blockers and can definitely see villain firing twice with AAxx here.

Not sure 89 is so comfortable betting 3/4 ott btw... K9 maybe but 89 is losing to K9 too and it's not like we can't have K9 or AK when we just flat flop.

Either way I think calling turn is pretty mandatory. We have 6 outs to almost def win, 3 potential outs to outdraw 89 + 2 outs to chop with it. Plus we can decide to bluff some rivers - hearts since we have Kh as a blocker and maybe 5x too. But I think the call is profitable anyway on it's own even without bluffing rivers. Be v tempted to call down on a blank as well.

cheers for the reply,
yea you assumed correct with the villains,

and with regards to reads, player definitely a solid winner at these stakes I'm not sure why he/she hasn't moved up yet. however villain is not the sort of person to get too out of line always shows up with reasonable hands and has standard 3 betting ranges when its showed down in big pots..

in retrospect I think his flop bet size is indicative of AAxx, if he has aakx he probably pots? because he knows I'm calling to hit straight draws/ boats, flushes with my range and he wants value, he might bet small with aakx with hearts but again his hand is vulnerable against boats so the smallish bet kind of looks like a probe for info then when he gets the nod that I don't have the nuts (I shouldn't have akxx anyway calling pre?) he could then be piling on the pressure I still don't know though lol

I guess with an hour to think about a hand poker is a lot less difficult than making pretty quick solid consistent decisions at the time!

note you can still win a decent amount of the time with call turn + check/fold on blank river line
