Hi guys,

I'm trying to find the ideal line when playing strong hands OOP so that i am not spewy, unbalanced or just pure nitty. Looking for advice on the following hand as to what is the correct GTO play as I am always curious whether calling or raising is correct given the action.

Have just played 1 hand against villain. No reads except only other hand i played against him he blasted two streets on AKXX board after he raised 2 limpers from SB

Villain is on button with 200bbs and i'm in BB with 110bbs

Villain opens $7
Hero calls A644

Flop comes down

7 4 3

I check
Villain Pots $15
I call

Turn 8

I check
Villain Pots $30
I call - thoughts?? Should we be ever raising with the 6 blocker?

River 8 Pot $90

Board 74388
I check
Villain Makes it $45
Hero - Call, Shove ?

Calling seems a bit nitty? Shoving may be an option now that the flush has completed and hand is disguised?

Well the correct "GTO" play would be to call sometimes and raise sometimes (with fold never an option obviously).

I'll mention some people like to develop leading ranges on these low straighty boards when defending from the BB because you'll obviously connect more with a board like this defending wider than someone PFRing from other positions but it's fine to have a strategy where you check all your hands on the flop.

X/C flop is great because it protects your range by keeping some strong hands in there when you take these more passive lines because if you only X/C with weak hands & draws and otherwise raise hands like sets/ straights you will be relentlessly barrelled when X/C and lose the value of raising.

X/r is obviously good to get value and build a pot with what is almost always the best hand, and x/r'ing hands like sets here will allow you to bluff raise more often with blockers and/ or semi-bluffs on this board texture which you'd usually be tempted to do due to your range advantage on this board. Either above options are good.

Turn usually X/C again but you will want to have turn x/r hands in your range and this one is a decent candidate with the 6 blocker and no big spade blockers.

River is an easy shove for value

Agree that gto play on flop should be call sometimes and sometimes raise. But that

doesn`t mean that`s the most profitable move. There are plenty of players who will 3 barrel this with blockers or even pure air hands,so calling is then better.

I think you should raise bluff sometimes with 6 or 7,but i would prefer hands with

additional equity:like 6789 or 589 both with backdoorflush draw.I would almost

never check raise bluff turn after opponent bets full pot.

I prefer shoving river in this spot.
