Micro PLO Preflop Strategy Resources? Micro PLO Preflop Strategy Resources?

Are you basically looking to nut peddle vs "any 4 cards will work for any size preflop bet" players?

Micro PLO just seems like calling station heaven. Last night had double suited AA88 hit the 8 for the set and had the nut flush draw but lost the hand to some funky 47TQ hand that made a straight in a 4 way pot. This was after pot sized 3bets preflop.

Annoying but seems par for the course. Not complaining. Just looking for more +EV lines in these super loose no fold em games.

I think like a Hold Em player but Im sure it's universal. Get as many chips in as possible with the better hand and hope their weaker range doesn't get to take it down by the river.

Any recommendation for resources to play micro PLO? As a hold em player these games give new meaning to the word variance. I watch higher stakes stuff on YouTube but what they play at those stakes does not apply from what I am seeing.

play tight, stick to hands with strong nut potential that are highly connected. you don't need to adopt a raise or fold mentality. be positionally aware and play much tighter from UTG and MP than you do from the button. don't call raises too liberally. pick the right spots to three bet. never play loose out of position.

Enjoy. Assuming you don't have major tilt issues and can digest this somewhat well, you'll be a winning micro player.

If I may chime in as a predominantly nlholdem player myself who just got back into playing micro plo after a 10 year hiatus, I play AAxx hands rather conservative. I always raise them of course but if I don't hit a set or a flush draw or some kind of straight draw with the other two cards, I usually slow down. Jeff Hwang, my main plo resource, wrote to bet jam AA preflop to create all in situations but the problem is in micro stakes, rarely will you get 3bet to create a heads up pot. What usually happens is you get multiple callers to your raise, creating all always a multi way pot.
This strongly diminishes the strength of you hand in plo.

AA in plo is just not as powerful a hand as in holdem.

These are my thoughts. Like I said, I'm new as well and I could be way off.
Criticism is welcome.
