main question is on the flop.

Villain is leading into my preflop raise of which my ranges consists a decent amount of AKxx from CO although a flat from SB is a fairly strong range as well.

Usually SB is AKxx also, and probably less likely to be KKxx, though another hand we could possibly see take this line is set + flush draw but thats heavily blocked by our hand.

We have top two for redraw freeroll, and we also have backdoor spades, but we also have Ah nut flush draw blocker.

Do you flat here or do you raise flop. By flatting, we may induce another street or triple barrel bluff form KKxx type hands, or a 2nd barrel from K9xx type hands. But the downside is that the board pairing may lose our action if he has AK and our freeroll. On the other hand, there are more heart outs in the deck than boat outs and if we believe he is heavily weighted towards AK given preflop ranges, bluffing hearts might be a better play.

If we flat, do we raise blank turns or continue to flat? I usually lean flat turn but if I flat flop and turn brings a spade draw, i'd lean raise. Thoughts?

I think I always flat this for range protection and because raising doesn't accomplish aaaall that many good things

As played, what do you do on the turn if a heart comes?

What do you on the turn if you had called the turn?

Forgive my cluelessness, I've been away from poker for several years and am trying to relearn it.

Protecting your calling range is nice by just flatting flop but then again this is the kind of board you're likely to get action from worse on, some FD/ pair/ SD combos, sets etc. So raising for value isn't a mistake at all. I don't see any problem with either play.

Do you think villain is fading hearts or will he bluff flush / FH boards?

I'm not sure there's too many hands in SB spot that actually gives us action here besides TT + FD or something similar that would take this line.

Keep in mind that he is potting into two people on a board texture that should be checked to the PFR a lot which makes me believe he is very heavily weighted towards AK himself. I think 2 pair + FD or similar would not donk out for pot multiway and would tend to go for a check call on this flop.

SB cold calling range will have a lot of sets on this board as well as plenty of other Broadway combos.

Agreed with this.

I mean if you think about how often raising with AA or just hearts here doesn't work it shows you that raising for value is absolutely fine.

That said I slightly prefer flatting to prevent getting freerolled and keeping my bluff off a split options open.
