hi. looking at playing some live PLO. the buy-in is 1/3 with Rake 10% capped @ $10. buy-in is $100-$500.

just starting out in plo how much should i take to play with? people say you need 50 buy-ins which would be 25 grand or 15 grand if you buy-in for 100bb's.

If you're playing to make money then don't play PLO with 10% rake. If you're not playing to make money then play for whatever amount of money you're comfortable playing for.

If you want a super serious answer over BRM you're going to have to figure some stuff out on your own (winrates, sample sizes, etc) and go to town with a variance calculator to figure out what a proper bankroll is. If you're a big winner then your BR needs will be relatively small really. If you're a losing player then no bankroll is enough in the long run.

all the legal games in my area have 10% rake. maybe its not worth playing PLO live at all?

The cap is reached at 100. If the stacks on the table are high enough and it isn't all nitty. The roll is whatever you are ready to lose during some period of time.
