Live 2/3, $5 bring-in.
AJ76hh (suited to ace) OTB
3 limps, I overlimp, BB raises to 35, 2 limp-calls, I call
4 ways to the flop
Flop (150): J84hh
BB PFR checks, LAGfish (700) in UTG bets 125, folds to Hero
Hero re-pot to 500?
Reasonable GII spot with NFD, GS and blocking TP? I’m 44% against sets and J8. On this flop, I figure I should be jamming all sets, J8 for value and NFD/OESDs as semi-bluffs.

Ap, call flop. No need to pot it yet as you are otb. Let bb in hand. Gambling w hand if utg pots turn and board did not pair.

especially being on the button makes this not a repot on the flop. play your position. see what happens on the turn.

Hmmm. I think this one is very V dependent and also stack depth dependent. With SPR of 4 or less, I am inclined to raise now and GII as there are a ton of scare cards that can come on the turn that either make our hand or will slow V down a lot. However, I do see the merit of other players advocating play your position and just call since we are OTB and clearly behind right now.
It is pretty close I think. If LAGfish will still call if/when you hit, then by all means flat. If he will go away on the turn if a heart comes, then I like jamming here. Given he only has $700 I think I do jam.
