Hero (100 bb) raises to $2.40 from UTG, must have been a surrendered SB or something. MP and CO flat. The button with 500 bbs raises pot to $13.20. SB folds, BB (100 bb) takes two to the face, hero calls, UTG makes it $56, MP calls all in for $13.5, button folds, BB folds, hero?

It looks like no matter what range we give UTG we have the equity to stack off.

Basically the main pot is free for us to play and we have substantial equity, roughly 1/3rd regardless of our opponents' ranges, which should far out weight the cost of participating in the side pot.

As played calling is fine, but it's certainly not printing money or anything. This might be a fold (open fold) preflop, but the hand history was described poorly, making it much harder to evaluate.
