The only people who seem to think the site isn't riddled with bots is the people who run it. Anyone who puts in any volume and is competent can see it, like it isn't even being hidden the majority of the time. WPN knows this, they don't care or they can't stop it, I lean towards the former.
Rake is rake no matter what it does to the games, look at the beast for a prime example. I truly hope they do something about both going into the year, as a million dollar MTT every week is an amazing way to get great cash traffic, but it won't happen anywhere except the high stakes games in the current system.
It's not that surprising considering fairly complex MMOs and other games have been rampant with bots since like 2004, the mechanical actions of a poker bot would be suuuper easy to code I presume, hard part would be implementing a strategy but with solvers / all the info out there I'm sure it's not as hard as one would think. (meaning there are probably quite a few people working on bots not just 1-2 people trying to run multiple bots) Probably tons at MTTs with a super tight strategy then close to perfect under 20bb play that print money with a small ROI but play super high volume / perhaps they have it set to alert them of deep runs to take over
