How to play AA in 3b pot? How to play AA in 3b pot?

General question on a situation that comes up often.

CO opens, we're in SB with ragged AAxx no suit and 3bet, CO calls.
Flop T82r, we cbet half pot, CO pots it.

Assuming villain is unknown is this just an easy b/f spot? Are there other viable lines?

Basically for me, that's the type of board that smashes his range so we can't cbet much here, would prefer a check call depending on blockers. Some situations where he have the gut+fd or something would even consider the c/r pot or a big c-bet.

Agree with Latte. I flat bad AAxx hands out of position.

Post-flop, playing overpairs when you whiff, especially OOP, is one of the hardest things in PLO. It depends so much on board texture, your opponent and what your other cards are (i.e. not that helpful to say you have AA no suits without saying what your other two cards are). Also need to know stack size. Generally, if I flop either a pair to go along with my AA, a draw or a lot of back door equity, I will bet. Bet/call v. bet/fold depends on opponent, how my draws look, and stack size. If I just have bare AA, I usually check. Again check/call v. check/fold v. check/raise depends on stack size and opponents.

It's not that general. The obvious first question is what does your 3bet range look like. How often do you have J9 and how often do you have worse than AA here?

As others have said the simple/generic rule is not to 3bet AA72r but be 3betting a few hands that have QJT/JT9 in them, then random AA that have nothing else going for them on this flop can be a simple bet/fold.
