Hello !
I played poker (NHLE 6max 1/2 or 2/4) since 2003 or something back in the good old days where u could win just with aggression...
Played for 1-2 years as Pro then slowly but surely stopped being winning player and finally quit it. Not before trying to learn PLO so i lost approx. 500k BB at micro stakes at these times..
Now after years i tried again to learn me that game this time with more learning!
I finally managed (was a hard time of losing again) to become a break even player after rake and rakeback (in the old days i lost about 120bb/100 lol) now.

Now i need to know how to become a solid winning player again- at stars (PLO 0,02/0,05 6max and zoom) there are many of them.
When i go though their stats most have in common that they play ultra-tight with VPIP <25 (Thats not my playstyle and never will be ). And they have all significant lower WTSD rates than me - i dont know how to get them as low as this!!!
here are my stats: not a real sample size but i post only the part where i changed the play that i become a non -50BB/HH or more losing player at all
there are approx 200k hands in my db atm and after changing style u can clearly see it after 10k hands in which direction it moves!!

I am surely full of leaks but i trust in u all to get me past them and finally become a good player in these beloved game!!
I appreciate any critics!

regards, specklinsen

first of all, i like your playing style from what i see you should start to tighten up in early position and blinds, especially sb. looking at your non-show down winnings and your showdown winnings it seems that you maybe should adjust your betsizings from time to time. people might fold too much to your bets if you actually have it. a positive red line of course is generally good and there are a lot of BBs to be won with aggression but you sometimes want people to call and not fold also your bluffs will be more balanced and profitable. on the other hand your showdown winnings look really bad and you should adjust your game here, dont be a calling station and dont try to win every hand by barrelling, people will start to exploit you and just call your bets down with dominating hands.
this is all very speculative because of little data. but keep up the studies, review hands and enjoy the great game while your bankroll lasts

thanks man!
i will tighten up in the blinds and in EP! i think my red line is like that because people only play the nuts vs me - and i often got some equity so i can get to SD relative cheaply but often dont get any money there.
i know i got problems in 3bet pots. what is a good hand to go broke with 100BB or even more behind?
i still dunno it..
i dont think i barrel that much - they just call any gutter or fd as long its K high..
soi think i have to bet high for value and am often committed on river then .
Maybe i should fold then more often the last 15-20% oder my stack if the draw(s) arrive?
also i got real problems against aggressive player OOP with ultra high vpip(>50) PFR (>30) and 3bet (>20).
just cant give up on every 3 or 4 bet flop there?

specklinsen

your river problems certainly come from you (over-)playing too many dominated hands, especially out of position. and maybe give your opponents some more credit in those big pot spots, maybe even before the pot gets big you should take notes on the regulars. also fold a decent amount of times to 3b oop e.g. hands that dont do well against tight 3b ranges of your opponents because youll be more often than not dominated. play around with some equity calculators when reviewing hands to get a better understanding of your hand strengths and villains ranges.

good luck

I started to try to learn plo about 10 years ago. I realized back then that nlh would soon be unbeatable. I was a visionary ahead of his time I guess.
Smart guy that I am, After quiting online around 2011 and years of playing live nlh I only started playing plo again a few weeks ago on Bovada. 2,5
Deposited 100 and up to 146 after initially losing a couple buy ins.
Miniscule sample size but plo is definitely my game from now on.
Nl holdem has been solved and there's still a lot of value in plo it seems to me.
At those stakes, I just play ABC poker. Just like in the old days.
Reminds me of when I started out years ago playing the lowest stakes limit holdem. Don't know why I didn't figure this out years sooner.
Anyways, hopefully I'll keep trending in the right direction.
Buy and study Jeff Hwangs stuff and good luck!
