How to deal with AA preflop in 5card when facing crazy action allin? How to deal with AA preflop in 5card when facing crazy action allin?

I know to not be results oriented but in 5 cards it seems to have more of those family 4bet pots than the fish who is short stack decide to jams and now we have everyone shipping random hands preflop (with actually decent equity)

I'm really tired of having a good session then because of those multiway crazy allins I lose multiple buyins with AA preflop.

What do you guys think when this situation happens?

Obviously Double suited aces would be a jam multiway, but should I fold like bad aces pre? Or even single suited on the aces unconnected?

From what I can see only the very worst AA hands are a fold, like AA932 ... however there's a significant portion of the middle AA hands where you are like 36% 3 ways vs. 80% and 60% ranges etc. ... so technically it's correct, but it'll be hard to see in the short term.

interesting section on AAxxx in 5card by daniel cates, whose opinion is worth a lot

IMO this question boils down to your side cards/the overall properties and strength of your hand. In 5c PLO bare overpairs are considerably weaker

Not gonna lie, i fold a lot of weaker aces pre playing the mgmnh 1/2 5 card. Ex: i have 1.5k stack effective, and get dealt bad aces, someone 3bet to 90 to me. If i pot spr still way too high to gii on basically any flop, and if an A comes I'm likely not getting paid bc i 4bet so the hand is relatively face up. But if i call the 90, am i really going to get 800 on average when i do bink the A? Probably not. And then if someone 5b shoves am I happy gii? If they have the other aces I'm dead, even if they just have literally a random hand its like im a 10-15% favorite pre with trash aces. Wild to think that aces can ever be a fold pre but in 5 card as soon as you're just a little bit deep aces have equity that's just impossible to realize. Like don't worry about tossing bad aces, it's 5 card you'll get aces a ton.

I see a lot of people overplaying AA, and have a lot of hands bookmarked, where I have done it myself.
It depends a lot on how deep you are playing. If 2 other players are willing to gii at 200bb, most likely one of them have AA as well, so you are both just donating to the guy with live cards.

I had a 3-way hand the other day where I and another both had crap AA. The last player with 2277Jds was a slight favorite....
