River wasn't the worst - but obviously changes the nuts. I felt his bet was kinda silly though- I only had $20 left but maybe shoulda just ripped it in there. I guess it's hard to say.

Still wtf was he doing with those Aces pre LOL?

In live games depending on stack size I do a lot of the Rolf Slootboom thing where I minraise my entire range in EP. Of course that's not the real LOL part and I'd 4bet to $31 here and stack off regardless of the board (despite being a little short of the magic 33%).

Anyway, with your updated reads he just looks like a very bad player so he might call off with AA. If you didn't have that read it just looks like he hit his straight and wants to know you'll call something (or maybe bluffing a missed 75). I don't think your call was horrible here.

i'm def jamming river here read less and not doing so was definitely a significant mistake IMO. I just find it hard to imagine anyone taking this bet-sizing line on the river if they've hit the nuts because of how little you have behind compared to the size of pot (ie. they aren't expecting you to fold anything so always ship a straight) - way more often it's just going to be some 2 pair hand or worse set that is just making some sort of blocker bet attempt. In this instance it happened to be even worse than 2 pair.

Well, I play entirely live so take the above with a grain of salt. Live players see poker as a lottery where they're hoping their ticket comes in, and then when it does they fear the disappointment of getting a fold. It's "How can I make sure he calls?" not "How can I maximize expectation over all the times he calls or folds?" To me it's entirely reasonable to expect a bad live player to make a small bet with the rivered nuts with not much money behind. Online may be different.

Sure, I guess it does happen. Even so, I still think this is something like a weak 2 pair a good amount of the time too and I'm willing to risk the remaining $20 on that.

easy shove IMO, especially when he bets like that himself.

Well you can't ask for a better flop, top set on a rainbow flop with straight blockers, you also have blockers for backdoor flush

I try to get it in as fast as possible, pot pot pot

Clear all in on river, which would be much easier if you pot turn

As for he's Aces, let's just say he played them very bad and I would Insta make a comment and color code him as bad player

The flop is pretty close. We have a player behind us, who we don't want to let draw cheaply to a straight, but slow playing can still be quite profitable. Obviously the default play with the nuts is to raise, but there are a lot of safe turn cards and villain could easily catch up to a second best hand. We also have two backdoor flush draws, so even if the board puts a possible straight on the turn, half the time we will have a set + fd. Also if we raise the flop then the third player is folding almost everything, whereas if we just call he will raise some hands that he would have otherwise folded, like bottom set or the rare kings up.

Was it better to fast play the flop? Looking back at it, i'm not sure I like the slow play as much.

if he donks this small, i'd click it back. people dont know what that means, think im raising for info and might spazz out with AK or 4678. if he clicks it back again, i'd click it back again

Omaha high will never die. It's got too many degens and bill board players "This is a bingo" type game.

Pot turn 3-way, although your sizing is better because you have the diamond draw.
