I'm ambivalent about what to do here. On the one hand, I would expect villain to raise flop or turn with a set or 2-pair on the flop or turn, and the fact that I'm c/r'ing then barreling means that I'm far more likely than him to have made a boat on the river. That's the argument for going for it here. But since I've got a wrap and a FD, he's less likely to also be drawing, and is more likely to have a made hand here. It's generally bad to bluff while blocking the weakest hands in villain's possible range (aka bricked draws). So I need some advice here. Thanks

I would have liked to see slightly smaller bets on previous streets. Reads on opponent are very helpful here and if you don't have any, I would begin working on them. As far as river play, your range needs to be value heavy but should also contain some bluffs.

You definitely have to bet here some of the time with this hand, if not quite a bit of the time. You're at the absolute bottom of your range on the river and you need bluffs... So yea. Sizing and actual frequency is a good question. Yes sucks that we block his folding hands but still need a bluff in this spot and this is pretty much the hand to run with.

edit: not sure about the turn sizing either. Do you do that with a set? Yes it's nice to max pot because max protection with strong made hand, since it's needed on that board, but it's so dynamic and will cause a lot of awkward spots oop on river when called

I'm a fan of bluffing your biggest missed draws if it makes sense so go for it.

When we assign villain continuing ranges, what are we actually bluffing out by the river that doesn't have showdown value with a Q, KK or AA w/ spades or straight cards?

With a naked wrap is it reasonable to assume villain folds turn to a PSB and continues with only a wrap+Q or better? Same with NFD on turn, he is only going to continue there blocking top set or having strong SDV w/KKorAA?

Blocking all those important cards and having not 2 but 3 spades makes it seem like a real stretch to hope he has same busted wrap+fd w/ no showdown value.

If we are going to bluff wouldn't it be better to have 1 less spade and atleast a 9 here, and barrel off with this exact holding on a Q or 9 river since we are so polarized to nuts or air on the deuce and can credibly rep more hands on a Q/9 and get a few more folds the times we counterfit his weak 2p+fd/sd holdings?

Sorry if this post is real nooby, idk if i know what im talking about i'm trying to get make more sense of this game and getting into discussions seems like a great way of exposing flaws in my thought process and strategy.

Shovel the money in, you're getting such good odds on a bluff vs a pretty weak range

^Having a boat blocker doesn't mean that much
