given the board texture a smaller sizing is generally more profitable. if you have, for example, JJ, you don't want to chase people away who have a six and are drawing dead (with plenty of outs to fill up and pay you off), and if you have just a six then you want to minimize how much you invest when you are behind. since there are no draws if you have 6x and have the best hand you can take it down with a half pot bet, and betting full pot doesn't accomplish anything more when you are ahead but can get you in a lot of trouble when you are behind. With j6 in particular by potting it you risk scaring away 6x so the only thing that continues is JJ. of course a lot of plo players bet pot when they have the nuts or a strong hand also.
