Ive been small stakes PLO for about 15 years.

As a university student in the mid 2000's I grinded 25c/50c and 0.5/1 and made a few hundred a week. No advanced strategy was used just played tight and exploited their weaknesses.

The last decade I've played live 5-20 times a year and have always been a profitable player. I don't consider myself to be a good PLO player, but I seem to have a real knack of finding weak players holes and exploiting them whilst not losing chips to the "good" players.

Ive decided to spend a few hours a day for the next month playing and see what I can do. Ive always been a profitable PLO player and ive had a long history of successfully implementing sports betting systems, im feeling very confident in being able to manage the business, mental and strategical components of growing a PLO bankroll.

The guys I play with now arent the best, they bluff the river way too much and call on the turn when its -ev for them. We pay 5% rake capped at 10bb's.

What i'm finding is if I get all in on flop I pay 2.5% rake on average with a pretty small edge. Isnt advisable to take that type of action in sports betting, just too swingy.

My general approach is to exploit their weaknesses on later streets where I pay a lower % rake and I have an edge far exceeding something marginal. Against bad players you can really reduce volatility by reducing flop repots. Typically im trying to see a flop as cheap as possible and then let them hang themselves. (I usually play 3/4/5 handed with 200 bb's)

The major issue I have is not knowing how to play aces (strong or weak) when I'm deep.
There are three cases;
under the gun
button
blinds

Under the gun I typically call 100% of aces and if i'm deep I just call 3 bets. on the blinds I just call. On the button I will typically 3-4-5 bet with 100% of my aces, im confident playing in position. OOP I do play aces very passively, I do it because I put minimal in pre flop and await their errors on later streets (they also never expect a set). I feel as though OOP i would much rather play a run down then aces, but that feels theoretically wrong to do given the edge aces can have.

Against the bad players I play against and being 200+bb deep, are there any suggestions on how to play aces OOP??? (im always happy to trade a little EV for lower volatility)

Is it a fair statement to make that you should always only call aces pre OOP vs players who play later streets sufficiently poorly??

The lower the SPR, the less of an advantage position is.

With the type of guys I'm playing against OOP may even be more profitable that in position. I get to call their river bluffs and I often find myself in all in spots with very strong equity after he re pops my check raise on the turn with his draw/2pr.

When I show weakness OOP they show way too much strength, which is very easy to exploit. When I'm in position, they play more passively and I dont get that pot inflation from check raising.

My original post was asking how to play aces OOP against these BAD players (emphasise bad)

Ya I mean if you're gonna take a passive line with strong hands oop its fine but I would include a lot of strong hands and I'd expand my 3bet bluffing range.

Everything is situation dependent but that's a good general framework
