i like it, however, i think when villain bets this turn he is strong and we're trying to bluff him off this very strong range (straights, good 4x, boats)

very interesting texture for bvb.

This spot would be a lot happier if villain was playing a limping or high fold strat from the SB, but stats make it more likely he is playing high PFR strat from SB which means he connects with this board a lot harder.

I think I would prefer to protection raise the flop given how much equity 4 random overcards or random low flush draws has vs your pair here.

I agree that villains turn barrel range is pretty strong, so you are definitely going to need to follow through on river a lot. Why are you sizing so small on the river? Surely you are very polarized here, so probably you should be sizing up?

P1: Why does SB connect with this board more than Hero? Wouldn't Hero defend a ton of low suited/connected cards pre IP vs. 3x?

P2: Interesting on protraising flop, normally wouldn't think to do it here because we don't really get any draws to fold I don't think and we put money in with sort of mediocre equity against a calling range.

Still new to PLO from holdem and not sure on significance of protection and what sorts of spots it can play in.

P3: Yeah you might be right that I'm polarized, but I thought at the time (perhaps incorrectly) that Hero could play this line with some 87. BVB where ranges are wide pre and against these 48% sizings post it didn't seem super unreasonable for 87 to play a value line like this, but yeah that might be too thin. But that's why I was using this sizing otr to try to represent having 87 in my range, I would think he would have to defend some weaker straights against this line and size??

Sorry my statement was a little unclear. I meant that a SB player that also limps some of their range will be a lot weaker on this board when they raise than a SB PFR range from a player that plays raise or fold.
