Having a go at turning $100 into $10,000 at small stakes PLO despite having no tangible history of being a winning player, so come along for the incredibly slow boring ride.

Day 1 - $100
Day 2 - $100.04
Day 3 - $109.30

Playing PLO2, working on a 50x bankroll for now.

Let’s see how it goes

Good luck. I'd recommend a more aggressive BR strategy for at least plo2 and plo5. Edge will be big enough that variance won't be too bad, meaning you don't need as big of a bankroll to combat swings (a higher winrate=smaller negative swings). And if your edge isn't big enough for that then your idea to move up is pretty doomed anyhow

Day 4 - $115.63

Couple of vaguely interesting pots but all very standard really, ran well early on and then quit after getting frustrated over a few coolers/beats.

Riveting high stakes stuff

Be careful calling your challenge boring. Instead just call it a challenge. Furthermore, in case you don't know, under the "poker news and discussion" tab is a "poker goals & challenges" tab. You might find more inspiration and like minded posters in that sub-forum.

My head is spinning with your use of the word "boring." It makes me want to be brutally honest with you. If you find pot limit Omaha boring, then you are doing it wrong. On average, more than 2 out of 3 players are long term losses, therefore being a winner is a worthy accomplishment, no matter the sums of money involved. And the sums of money involved can snowball to life changing money rather quickly.

The poker site I primarily play has 9 different stakes from the lowest of $5 to the highest of $2,000. It is my belief that a dedicated player can get from the lowest stakes to the highest stakes in 5 years or less. Every penny and every dollar that you are making now are the bankroll blocks to move up. Pennies today will be thousands of dollars in 5 years or less. The day you start routinely paying your monthly rent/mortgage and car payment with poker winnings while still having a sufficient bankroll to play will blow your mind.

Sure you calling your challenge "boring" and "riveting high stakes stuff" might be self deprecating, but to me it says your mindset is a bit off.

Yeah it probably belongs in that section, I didn’t notice it - my bad.

You’re right it was meant to be self depreciating, and I do agree with what you’ve said and enjoy the Game.

Thanks for the advice.
