CO: $192.82 (VPIP: 31.63, PFR: 11.22, 3Bet Preflop: 2.38, Hands: 100)

UTG: $101.50 (VPIP: 17.89, PFR: 12.63, 3Bet Preflop: 10.42, Hands: 96)
MP: $397.62 (VPIP: 52.11, PFR: 14.08, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 72)

SB posts SB $0.50, Hero posts BB $1.00

Pre Flop: (pot: $1.50) Hero has A Q 4 A

UTG raises to $3.50, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls $2.50

Flop: ($7.50, 2 players) 9 6 2
Hero checks, UTG bets $5.50, Hero calls $5.50

Turn: ($18.50, 2 players) Q
Hero checks, UTG bets $13.00, Hero calls $13.00

River: ($44.50, 2 players) 9
Hero checks, UTG bets $40.00, fold

I decided just to flat pre, bc V looks tight over 100 hands, and I find this kind of weakish AA really annoying to play OOP in 3bp (esp. against tighter V).

River is kinda weird spot, I wouldn't expect V to have barely any FHs in his range, but when guys with nitty stats triple barrel this kind of size on this card I think it's usually smart just to fold.

Anyone jamming though with our nut blocker and unblocking missed draws?

Jamming would be with the slim hope that villain was on a stone bluff. Villain has invested just over 60% of his stack with this river bet so doesn't appear likely he folds.

UTG will have very few 9's in his hand bar some 89TJ or KK99xx ds hand. You have a blocker to QQ which should take that out of the equation . With the board so dry on the turn we have to think we are so far ahead. Is a X raise here warranted to make it an easy stackoff on river?

As played when he pots the river its kinda strange that he doesnt value bet here with a 9. Potting seems strange

Check calling with 1 pair hand that is likely to be 1 pair on river on dynamic board oop sucks.I think aces are the best hand to 3bet this tight opponent. As played i would

either lead flop, check raise flop or turn.Check calling is kind of waiting for death to come for you lol. What was you plan for river? On river 31 card makes a straight and as we see

you didn`t feel comfortable to call even on board pairing card!If the plan was to hope

opponent will play honest don`t think that`s optimal strategy.

Guess his river sizing is reflection of awareness he won't have many 9x in his range and he VBs boats+ now.
Blocking Q9+ is decent this care but not sure people bluff enough w/ this sizing at this level esp tight ones.

lol at jamming wtf
Don't tell anyone if you do this

Edit - yeah c/r turn is interesting.

Never jamming. We only beat 78--AKTJ. River is somewhat close, but I think it's a good fold. People are going to check back a bunch here with showdown-able hands.
