I 3-bet pre based on your read he is opening wide. For one, you gain position whereas if you just call and invite others, you have very poor relative position. You really do not want this to go multiway with your particular hand, you make lots of 2nd best hands.
+1 HUMBLE that was my first reaction when watching and we go 4 ways to flop, we have two third-to-the-nuts suits so we are mostly set mining with this hand when we go MW, prefer 3b pre. you want to have some hands like this in your 3b range too
AP don't really understand why this is a thread, very standard call down
as you asked are there other ways to play, well, much worse but possible, you could raise/fold the flop. make it 22 to go. when he ships it, ez fold. if he calls, decide on the turn. might be a check behind turn, call or bet/fold river sort of line.
to be clear, this is a mad line, if normal abc plo doesnt have enough variance for you, but i dont see how we can change anything else.
as played i could see folding a jack high flush on turn or river, but second nuts for half pot, no matter how much that screams value, im struggling to fold. i hope i have good enough reads on the player to find a fold but against random it's difficult imho
This is a real weird one. You can pretty much take the K blocker out of his range with that river sizing, and it would be pretty ******ed to try to 3 street the J flush in a 4 way pot. Depending on how goofy this guy is postflop, you might be able to fold the river here. That dumb river sizing just reduces how often he has a bluff by a huge percentage. I can't recall ever having seen anyone take those sizings with the blocker, and only the hardcore droolers take this line with small/medium flushes.
