3bp - should I just fold my top two? 3bp - should I just fold my top two?

100bb effective stack.
CO Hero opens to 3.5bb with AJ98, BTN Villain 3bets to 12bb, BB loose fish cold calls, Hero calls.

Flop (36.5bb) : J97
BB checks, Hero checks, Villain pots, BB folds, Hero???

feels like I am either getting crushed or flipping if I just gii on the flop vs villain here, but we have top two with a straight blocker in a low SPR spot

any advice is appreciated

All-in.

Think we do better leading turn then checking. Btn should checkback a lot of his overpairs on this board.

kr seems clear once you get there. button pot sizing on flop that enables straight is suspect, especially mw. SPR is low, you won't know what to do on many turns and rivers (playability). being coolered sucks but you'll get valuable info on button.

we should have a leading range on this flop and its hard to find enough. but top two prolly a bit too middling for the job. BB, while helpful for pressuring button as the "in the middle" player, has made stacks shallower. I'm doubtful we deny much equity leading here. Having the As in hand would be a clearer reason to lead.

Probably close to even here but really doubt you are crushed here often. Something like AsAx?s? makes sense with his line. He doesn't have the straight.

I'm happy to rip it here. Plenty of outs if he has it. Very well could be ahead.

Not thrilled but it’s likely you have enough equity to gii

I feel like having an 8 here with no spades in our hand is huge for us. We block sets and straights (that are ahead of us), we unblock spades (which we want them to have), and we are ahead of villain's overpairs. Future streets are going to be rough as villain can check back a lot on the turn and there's unlikely to be a runout that makes us feel any more confident about our hand than we do right now. For those reasons I'm getting it in.

Easy rip it in - you're probably ahead here a lot more than you think. He could be potting in AAKT type of hands, maybe flush draw with a pair/or gutshot, etc. Having the 8 here is a big deal - if we didn't have the 8 our equity probably drops where this becomes much tougher.
