SB started out a reasonable aggressive player while 6-handed but over time has ramped up the aggression in the past 50 or so hands and is being a bit of a lagtard (even while 6h). His overall stats over ~100 hands are 42/31. The table just broke from 5 to 3h prior to this hand.

SB: $372 (186 bb)
BB: $271 (135.5 bb)
Hero (BTN): $324 (162 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with A T T J 9
Hero raises to $7, SB calls $6, BB calls $5

Flop: ($21) 8 T 8 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $10, SB calls $10, BB folds

Turn: ($41) 7 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $24, SB calls $24

River: ($89) 3 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets ???

Thoughts on the size of all streets please.

Sizing's easily my biggest leak and I figure monster hands should be easy to play but apparently not.

Flop bet is bigger than I'd go, but not by much. Multiway rainbow paired flop that isn't amazing for our range, y'know.

Turn sizing depends on how it fits into your overall strategy, imo. If this is your only size for your range on this turn, I think it's fine (though, again just SLIGHTLY big for me, but I do mean slightly).

OTR: I think villain's range is extremely likely to be 8xxxx-heavy here (MAYBE with some QJ9 or overpairs), which includes both 88 and trips/FH combos that have chosen not to x/r to this point.

Blocking(/having) J9 hurts the chances that they called flop with a straight draw.

Because of this, I'm inclined to bet small: 1/3rd pot is as small as I go OTR.

We risk less when they do have slow-played quads (we're bet/calling btw, especially if we do some pot control with our sizing; our read on villain demands it) and we get more calls from a range that seems pretty weak overall.

We want A8 to call (maybe even overpairs), and while losing FHs may raise OTR (v may have "trapped" with T8), the 3h seems like a weird time to do it: it doesn't help our range and 83 shouldn't really fistpump value jam here, even for a LAG player.

In terms of balance... I think we can maybe value bet as thin as KK here sometimes (has villain developed a high WTSD% in their goofiness?), which we would want to keep the size down on anyway.

Villain usually has a boat, our value triple barrel is 83 or 87+. I'd go 2/3 to full pot depending on villain's stickiness.

I vote 1/3 pot. If villain is an OK hand reader he should fold quite a bit to bigger sizing. Plus smaller may induce him to turn his hand into a bluff.
