I just re-read that again for what is maybe the 10th time overall and all I can say is that you, sir, are a legend! This and your 500th post are easily the best posts on 2+2!
I am legitimately excited about your upcoming 3000th post
TheAshman or Doorbread running up high six figures over a year of hard work and then losing it all back in a matter of days or even hours is much like a guy who is doing amazingly well in life, then he gets in a bad fight with his girlfriend, and he gets way too drunk at a bar, and then drives way too fast going home, and wraps his car around a tree and ends up dead or paralyzed.
That (I mean errare humanum est) is unfortunately so true that it makes me whine and spew even more. It's very important to sometimes forget about this human shortcoming because otherwise life seems so unfair and dull that even the ultimate spew doesn't seem a big mistake.
Just read this and is a truly touching and inspiring post. Thanks for the time, effort and emotion that you put into it, it is greatly appreciated and has changed my outlook most definitely.
Peace out and one love!
P.s thanks Napsus for bumping, as have gained a great deal tonight
Thx for the great read Crashwhips and the bump Napsus. Puts a lot of things into perspective for me. The story of the tortured monk almost brought a tear to my eye. The OP actually isnt tl: its nle
Great post, I've been thinking about reading some zen/buddhism stuff for quite a long time, but really never got around to it, I'm def gonna read some after your post.
