100 BI in 2 months? 100 BI in 2 months?

Do you think it would be easily achievable for a very good winning player who plays $5/$10 to win 100 BI every 2 months using 100 BI bankroll rule before moving up stakes starting from plo10 with $1000 to plo200?

If you think this is easily achievable for a very good $5/$10 player than they should be doubling their bankroll every 2 months.

$1000 bankroll for plo10 would be too overolled yeah, but lets just use 100 BI rule.

Basically needs $2000 to play plo20 $5000 to play plol50, $10,000 plo100, and 20k for plo200.

You can easily go from PLO10 to 200 within two month if you are a solid player and are able to adjust to different circumstances. But of course while battling on the micros/small stakes RB will be a huge chunk of your winnings.

I was originally thinking doubling the bankroll every 2 months like plo10 to plo20 winning 100 BI, but FROM what you seem to be saying is you can go from plo10 to plo200 within 2 month total?

Yes, you can go from $10 to $200 in 2 months if you're a good player, put in volume, and don't use a 100bi rule.

100bi rule for "a winning $5/$10" player at $50 is absurd. Play at $50 on 50bi, drop to 25, move down and have 50bi for $25. Rinse, repeat as you move up.

If you're playing PLO10 you're probably not a solid winning player.

If you're 4tabling at 10bb/100 you'll need 50k hands to make $1000. You'll need to be pretty full time to do this, also need to live with your parents and never go out.

You'll need to spend the rest of your time studying, drinking water and masturbating.

The best players in the world struggle with these challenges. I would definitely recommend working at McDonalds, having friends, doing 20k hands a month and studying 3 hrs a week and give yourself a year to get to PLO100.

Why would a winning 5/10 player waste his time moving down to microstakes?

And if your goal is to double your bankroll every 2 month and move up you are setting yourself up nicely for failure.

You can only put all your effort into getting better, sign up for a training site, and focus on your play and mindset. Results will show up eventually.

Rake at micros is a huge problem and you should be very aware of that.

I was just using a winning 5/10 player as a example and trying to figure out how long would it take a 5/10 player to move up from 10 to 200 is they had to use 100 BI.

The question I should have asked was what kind of winrate would a winning 5/10 player have at plo10 plo20 plo50 plo100.

I played a big sample on plo50 zoom 2-3 years ago and paid like 15-17 BB/100 in rake when I remember correctly.
So keep that in mind how big an edge you have to have to beat the rake and make money on top.

Do you know the youtube channel of Andreas Fröhli. He plays plo 200+ and is trying a BR challenge. He has a lot of good videos on these topics(rake,etc...) and you can see for yourself how he does in his BR challenge.

Not really worth playing anything lower than .25 - .50

You can make more at a ****ty job unless you live in Thailand or somewhere near there.

I agree with the above posters. What I would like to add about some of these challenges is that the person doing it often let their stacks get really deep. Just as an example, if JNandez is 500bb+ deep at a small stakes table, he is giving himself a good shot at completing the challenge, but some average Joe poker player shouldn't be playing 500bb+ deep. Just understand what challenges are being done with bankroll restrictions and which are not.

On top of that, if you are new to poker, you could have the technical skill of some high stakes crusher and would still struggle a lot to move up in such a short timeframe.

You lack all the soft skills around playing poker and you need time and a strategy to master all the mental challenges that will occur on the way when you play for a significant amount of money.

One hour 4 tabling requires more focus than most jobs in my opinion. You are faced with a decision basically at every moment, especially if it's zoom.

Think about how a salesman works, half the time or even more she's just talking to her clients, I wouldn't even consider that actually "work" often times.

At these stakes having a good rakeback deal is absolutely vital.
