1/2/5 PLO

Uncharacteristically tight PLO table for 1/2/5, with possibly the exception of V1. Everyone is limping to the flop with trash, but not a lot of moves postflop.

V1: 40-something Asian guy. Seemed to know how to play decently, but had a weird line on a 994r board, where he potted flop and turn, then instantly folded to a turn raise. (about an hour ago) Also straddles at every opportunity, and double straddled once. Effective stack at ~$800.

10$ straddle. 2 limps to Hero on button, who limps $10 with QJT5.. V1 (straddle) raises to $55. 2 original limpers and Hero call.

Flop: QJ5

V1 instantly pots ($225), 2 limpers fold, I call.

Turn: 4

V1 insta-shoves ($515), Hero...?

Is this spot standard get it in? Which bluffs does this guy have? Could this spot be fixed by me just tightening up pre? (I may be playing to wide a range from the button)

fold pre twice. these sort of hands look tempting especially with the glacial slow pace of plo, but you are just asking to make some second best holding with this hand in a multiway pot.

stack off on the turn.

Assuming straddle is raising a lot?

I think you can do a lot pre.; fold; limp/call; limp/fold; raise when it gets to you; limp/3bet when it gets to you the second time. Mostly depending on reads.

PPG is right in that if everyone is a bit tighter there will be a lot of dominating flush draws, but you can easily have the best flush draws here and you have button and agro villain is up front. You will have to raise flopped combo draws though, and note that you really only have 80bb so expect to get it in a lot when you hit.

As for post, lol call. If you don't snap call here fold pre. is the nut play.

Looks normal - we can make a case for jamming flop but snap call on safe turn.

Every street looks okish, if there is a spot to fold it is to the re-raise after the overlimp (we can be more selective with our rundowns in big multiway pots and face reverse implied odds in spots our hand is dominated)

But against a splashy player, seeing flop is probably fine.

As for villlains range: mostly overpairs and club draws with some board connection - if he didn't have a flush draw on flop quite likely to have turned one. He may still be misplaying various combos / spewing here, don't know enough to be sure. If he is very fishy we sometimes prefer all-in for that reason to avoid incorrect fold future streets when he is hard to range - also maybe running it twice.

The action on the previous 994 board suggests he had 44, unless he was just randomly blasting off.

In any case, it also suggests you have more fold equity against this guy than a typical villain who pots the flop into a field. So you could make a case for shoving the flop and possibly getting folds from the part of his range that would've picked up a heart draw (or maybe a lower straight draw) on the turn.

What was the turn? You do pot/fold some turns on trip boards.

Don't limp. Just pot it.

QJT5ds is a UTG open. Yes it sucks more multiway but it's still strong enough. QJT is one of the strongest combos in the game.

Flop fine. Get in on a brick.
