Yes, another lost buy-in with AA.

2/4 PLO 6-handed @ luckia in bogota

hero with 140 BB, Villain with 250ish BB. I have a solid reg image, he is maniac, IE 3 bets K952 rainbow OOP.

Hero dealt Ac Ad 8h 7c

UTG limps, folds to villain on button, pots to 5.5 BB, I pot to 19.5 in SB, both call.

FLOP: 5c 8s 6c. Pot is 57 BB, I have 120 BB behind.

I pot with top pair/open ender/nut flush draw, UTG folds (he had 100bb pre), villain shoves.

runout:

Spoiler:
Ks 10h. Villain shows Kh 8d 6s 7h. Takes pot

I was pretty tilted after this... lol. How would you have played this?
thanks for reading.

What would you have done if V had showed you his cards? You are nearly 50% to win and 25% to chop here OTF.

How often would you expect V to bet if you check here? You have a monster .. what would you normally expect to do here when you miss this Board? Not a bad idea to let a maniac feel like they are in control of a spot.

Your hand is pretty obvious when you pot bet (AAxx with flush draw) .. they just don't know you have additional 'equity' via the FH/Straight draw/blockers.

While this result is always 'disappointing' this is not really a 'pretty' tilted spot in PLO. Hopefully you had some more bullets to see if variance could help you out against this V. Did you have a RIT option? If so, then you should take it if this actually is a tilting spot for you. GL

This is such a normal PLO spot vs. gamblers. Doesn't matter if you mix it up (bet, check/raise, etc.), the money is going it on this flop. Just variance. Reload!

Potting OTF can't be bad with our hand as we have the board on complete lock.

I would consider checking from a balance perspective, since we're going to want to protect all our AAXX that cannot gii OTF. It's possible by potting OTF we're pushing out UTG when we have him completely dominated (weak FDs/pairs/SDs). However if BTN is gii w/ pair + any draw then it's ofc fine as played.

As mentioned already very standard hand. All hail PLO variance gods.

Haha - one guy doesn't know what to do with nut flush draw, straight draw, overpair, in a 3 way bloated pot and an SPR of ~3... the other guy crushes online 25/50.

I'm betting on AA guy in a HU death match for rolls.

What's happened to this forum?

Hand played as is.

However I think potting that flop is too much. A 1/3 bet gives you the same info, if you get raised you can flat and see turn. Could potentially fold then, however you would be on about 1spr with nut flush redraw, 2 pair redraw and still straight outs. So its still going in.

If you are scared or get badly tilted about getting that in you are playing too high. You should have ran it twice.

Think I like checkjam here vs spaz players, most V will stab this and get pot committed with garbage, if we lead a lot of junk getting Insta mucked.

Vs thinking players, maybe small to induce ?

Never saw anyone before getting tilted because they have 50%ish equity in a big pot started 3 way. I would pay good money if i can always have this type of "tilting" hands with similar equity. I would have hifived the dealer say please and thank you and tip him even if i lost
