What hands make the most money? What hands make the most money?

For nutted type of hands is it generally all between a few percentage points of each other or even less? If so that being said what types of hands end up making more money? I'm guessing wraps?

Of course 'the winning' hand makes the most money .. wa-wa

I will seriously bring back the 'it depends' to this however .. as well as it takes 'two to tango'.

When it comes to wraps you need to have 'high side' wraps that involve only 1 or 2 gaps on the Board.

You need to be careful with OESD when you have the low side. (97x and you hold 68)

Whereas a 3-card 'inside' wraps look nice but can be crippled if the next rank card is, or comes out, on the Board .. (QJ7 Board and you hold T98)

I don't really think you can quantify between 'nutted' holdings other than by rank. Obv you'd love to have T9 on 876, but what if there's a flush draw? And of course the Board can pair on any River!

I would assume that a high-side wrap on a rainbow Board has the most nutted potential and then you'd have to follow that up with top set on a highly gapped Board.

I think 'made' straights get the most attention from both flush draws and sets. So you could say that a made straight will get the most 'opportunity' for action since both flush and FH candidates know that if they hit they will pull ahead, but yet they are at a equity disadvantage when putting in the chips.

Obv a made straight will hold more often than even 'top two', so you'd have to say it produces a higher long-term gain.

It's an interesting question .. but it's also pretty basic, eh? Have the better hand against a 'close but no cigar' opponent or just 'hold'.

For me .. it's not so much 'what' I have, but my ability to manipulate the pot with the current Board in an effort to produce folds. The last live hand when there's no Showdown makes the most money! GL

Thanks for long answer.. as reading a hand popped up that I seem to remember making pretty good profits is checked high top 2 like a105 board and a 9 or j hits turn and in position opponent raises his a9 or a10 and we have top 2... or medium sets checked on flop against top 2 pair hands on turn. If board is safe with a flipped set and opponent spikes top 2 on turn.. but still straights think low straight like a5 or 26 seem to make a good amount of money vs sets on river... but was kind of looking for a different. Answer "I think" like ex. As in nl trips with higher kicker in a raised pot usually makes the most money.. can't really articulate what I'm saying and what was said may answer it as well.

As a question that coincides with this woukd a hand like 6789 vs a 3 bet pre be more likely to make money 3 handed vs a ds type hands or vs any hands really?

Straight profitably? No idea really, but maybe something A789ds where you basically flop huge or gtfo. Strictly theorising about bang for buck.

Higher straight draw / flush draw combos. If you add in a pair in to your hand (PLO5 particularly) then you have the added bonus of flopping a set.

You're going to make your most money on hands that other people can't get away from and you dominate with higher holdings. This would be a higher straight draw or a higher flush.

So you think basically more towards what I was asking is hoping to run into flush or second nut straight and then kind of pricing opponents in with bets to build large pots.. I see that

I have read the opening post and the responses several times. I still don't know what exactly is being discussed. Starting hands or what is the hand you have by the river? My answers are in case 1: aces and in case 2: nuts. Or what do you have on the flop? Nuts and nut draws are good. But how can you think wraps are great is beyond me... A wrap is a decent draw in most cases.
