Playing rush poker = playing cards

Well, since rush is nittier than regular tables, snouldn't bluffing/stealing be more profitable? Most people do just play their cards, but that doesn't mean you have to.

Playing poker is way more fun when someone else is playing it with you, rather than playing a bunch of nitty donks who fold on the flop and never see a turn card.

It's really no surprise to see that pkrtxs dislikes rush as well.

I suggest u start ploughing through the thread from the beginning .

I'm currently taking a shot at 1/2, but I still put in a few rush hands every now and then.

If you were beating RUSH for anything decent, why would you play 1/2?

Wouldn't you need to 10 table, or absolutley crush those games?

I'm considering jumping to 2/4 when I'm rolled, which is gonna be hard since poker is my only source of income atm since I'm starting a new business that's not making any money yet...

Otherwise playing 2-4 tables reg 1/2 I'd have to win like.. I dunno... 7-8 ptbb/100 to give me a beeter hourly which is really my only concern atm.... And that ain't gonna happen...

I got no time to plough through the thread... I just enjoy the banter...

I'm sure you've been crushing Vroom for ages... I remember when it first started and I was playing mostly on stars, having a go at rush, you pwned me a few times... think it was at plo50 when it was running...

Well, I usually 8-table, not quite enough to compensate for hands/hour at Vroom, but not too far behind either.

The games are softer, yet more aggro, I really enjoy the dynamic. TBH, I played so much at Vroom last year - 700k hands or so - I experienced a small burn-out. 1/2 is a new environment that has really motivated me, I get a nice buzz hitting the tables again. 2/4 is my short-term goal, but being the biggest BR nit of all time, it'll take a couple more months, lol.

Can't really say I'm crushing Vroom but I do win, skim back a few pages for a graph. Yea, I may have played a couple of hands at Rush 50 when it first started, very few though.

I find it hard concentrate on more than 2 cash tables at once... rush or otherwise... If I'm involved in more than 2 hands at the same time, I find it hard to think through my descision making process properly and I end up playing too many hands in a kind of face up and "standard" way not adjusting to players properly which result in making less with my big hands, getting bluffed alot, and not running successful bluffs often enough...

A legit point ur making... but I've reached a point in my degeneracy where I get bored and tilt if I play less than 4 regular tables

See I hear how Rush is so tight but hands like these tell me its chase after chase and poor ones. New to Rush and havetough time dealing with the swings. Sometimes your all in on the flop or pre as an 70% and just keep loosing.

Looks pretty standard. I started my rush career with a 20 buyin up swing, than a 15 buyin downswing, than pretty much approximately $800 swings up and down since with an overall pitiful few hundred dollar profit and $1000+ in rake with no rakeback.

small winrate is not embarrassing. Just keep playing and studying, and your winrate will go up. Also you have earned a lot more in rb+points, which is also part of your winrate imo.

edit:also from the graph it looks like you have improved your game alot!
