Hello Brothers and Sisters,

Are there any articles or forum threads on Trash Aces preflop
I been getting in pre with AA72r AA83r etc and the results doesn't show.

It is especially bad when a random cold caller reg calls with like double suited randoms like KJ63ds vs me and another reg 3/4/5b shoves
I realised i am like a 25%dog, while the other better AA is like 35% and the random double suited is like 40%+

Thanks in advance!

Be very aware of sample size, i.e. it's very easy to just go on a bad run, not in terms of the runouts, but in terms of what you're up against. Thought experiment: a new poker player starts playing NLHE and does all the right things in terms of learning, but goes on a gnarly run of having his aces cracked every time he plays them from early position and ends up paying off all his opponents the first 15 times he plays AA from UTG. He concludes that AA is unprofitable from early position and thus folds them. Given how many people play poker, this isn't actually so unfeasible a proposition. Beware of making conclusions about AAxx in PLO on, well, the reality of what it turns out your equity was in those specific circumstances: better to base your ideas about AAxx on theory. The theory is that HU it's almost never a mistake to pile in lots of beebs with any AAxx, even rainbow. 3 ways, it's only really ever a mistake to get it in with less than AAxx ss when one of the guys you're up against is tight enough that you can put him on AAxx too. But remember that due to card removal, when you have it, it's very difficult for your opponent to have it, so even if you have this guy as particularly tight, don't be surprised when you 4b him and he gets it in with you and you think you must be up against AAxx ds this time but actually he's just got the old AKQJss and was levelling himself into thinking you were 4betting him light.

Summary: don't sweat it, get your raggy aces all-in, just run better.

Understand AA is 65% vs top 10% in 4 card, 58% in 5 card, and for some reason won't calculate for 6 card but my guess is not much of an edge. So you're not dominating like you are in Hold Em, so there's a lot of variance in spots like this, and a lot of times people know your range is AA heavy and can play accordingly. I would be careful with trash AA in multiway pots as the deeper the SPR the harder they are to play especially OOP, and a bigger challenge in 5 card than 4 of course.
